The Rumours Thread

Not his fault - it was the Club who signed him up as the first pick hooker on long term deal.
Yeah I’m not anti Macca, I like the bloke but I’m concerned for 2023 if he is our 1st choice hooker. I think he needs to seriously consider finishing up at the end of this year. I’d hate to see him go 1 season too long cause after 300+ games he doesn’t deserve that

Andrew McCullough is one of the best guys u can have off the field - clean skin for his entire career spanning 15 years - but on the field he is nearing the end and Liddle I think is a decent replacement without breaking the bank
Although I would have preferred seeing us sign Verrills as a long-term solution, I do have to agree Liddle on a cut-price deal is a smart signing especially if all those articles about our salary cap being a mess are true.

It should have been Hunt at 9 and Sullivan at 7. Cheapy's Ramsey, Sloan, Amone, and Sullivan make it easier to afford Hunt at 9.

Once these young guns gain NRL experience, then it will be the time to go for a cheap hooker.

I would rather have Robson return if Hunt is going to stay at 7. So what is going to happen with Sloan and Sullivan?

Was that before his injuries? My tigers mates say he is solid but has had a lot of injuries. Perhaps he is coming into his prime ? I hope he at least haS enough speed to scoot from Fake and second guess defences.
That was vs Penrith with no origin players in 2021. I know he’s had knee issues but he still moves pretty well.

The fact that he struggles to make the Tigers first 13 is a worry
Perhaps clash with someone there ..dont no
Robson and Verrils prob demanding much more coin
Would love to see Robson back but cant see that happening
I agree
Basically 3rd choice hooker in a struggling side now behind Simpkins and Brown
Never been seen by the Tigers to be their No 1 hooker going forward by Madge and current co
I think he is just a bit too slight for NRL
So why do we need him or will he get us further up the ladder
Much rather Verrels or Brown if to take someone from the Tigers

If this rumour comes to fruition, then we will be continuing to go for the lesser likes, unwanted players that just don't cut the mustard. Liddle might be a slight improvement on Macca but is that improvement going to improve our attack and defence? If Bellamy was our coach maybe he would get Liddle to be better than slight, but with Hook he might just be a plodder.

Our chances of being top 8 next year will be dependent on securing a couple of tough hard running forwards who can bend the line regularly and can do off loads. Our backs are covered to an extent, but winning is in the engine room.

Much more in favour of Connor Mulheisen. Thought he was good in the trials.
In my opinion big improvement on McCullough.
Will only get better with every game.

Mulheisen not setting the world on fire in reggies.
Guys have repeatedly said on here ..the only way to compete against the Best is go after the best available ..
Shopping list
Munster
Haas
Pangai jr
Fifita
Liam Martin
Robson etc etc
In Dragons fashion we go for the John Wests , the ones others discard ..
Go for quality not quantity
Imagine Haas complimenting Lawrie in the Front Row ..Gives us real steel and respect
Way to go ..Can always Dream
