If he does not sign his lesser deal at Penrith which he still has not and gas hawked at... info put out there by ex / new manager? or whoever is advising him

Don’t be so sure that we won’t or have not shown an EOI already ... we have a lot of cash for 2022 spending

I think we are stuck with him next season.
If he doesn’t make the 17 at the start of the year it could force his hand to look around himself and try for a deal for 21 and 22 for a Club even more desperate than us.
His Manager would know that if he plays reserves all year his 22 contract wherever will be very low.
All about positive exposure.

Agree gents , I feel that he has a hard road in front of him if he intends to play in the top grade come season 2021 . However I do feel that Griffo will at least give him the opportunity to show his better attributes - should he fail , then he would be staring down the barrel of a very bleak future .

Correct..unfortunately more often than not it means they trot out the "E" for effort as their manager reminds them you could be in for a big pay cutor without a home

Yeah and I don’t get NRL clubs seem to think they need to spend money and get all these external people not directly related to rugby league or the club whether it be other codes or so forth to motivate and improve culture and mental state etc
e.g. Hansen to Dogs. Carter speaking to Knights, ex wallabies coach in Roosters camp last year, Mary’s spoon and mind benders etc
The only people like that needed are trainers etc to improve physical game abilities and skill.
Should not the army of football club coaching staff and BOD and admin staff with supposed rugby league nous be able to do all the rest of the stuff.
If they can’t then they’re not up to the job.

to me professionalism and too much money and running out of ways to spend it clutching at straws to look like you are doing something different.
Sounds all very like my employer and that being government but we are all used to that.

Didn’t also the Dragons have that SAS Or ex army leader help them a couple years ago supposedly with who knows what.. talking from time to time pre game all things inspiration and mentality.. under Mary?

Absolutely right . But I myself always like the Roy Master’s approach .

Get your own players to slap the crap out off each other 5 minutes before the start of each game and then watch those hooligans ride roughshod over any team in the competition !

Like it or hate Roy’s methods at least they were from him and he was coach and accountable for it, Cost the club nothing

Bennett is also know to be able to adapt his coaching to each player and gets what makes players tick very quickly. With what he did with Soward and Hornby just imagine what he could have done with our 99 side with Mundine and Barrett.

I always liked the man . He certainly had a different perspective on how to get the best from his players , but Masters also possessed a great footy mind .

Waite did a stellar job in 99...imagine what Bennett could have done with the 2005, 2006 squads. They’d be close to going undefeated.
