would need to offer 4 year deal $750K minimum = $3M no other chance.... .. ... worth the e$$ but we wont..What would we all think about if we try and sign Crichton from the Panthers to play left centre.
The Dragons just may have a dabble.
I eagerly await your response @possm
If he does not sign his lesser deal at Penrith which he still has not and gas hawked at... info put out there by ex / new manager? or whoever is advising himwould need to offer 4 year deal $750K minimum = $3M no other chance.... .. ... worth the e$$ but we wont..

... we have a lot of cash for 2022 spendingCrichton is a quality player. But we need forwards. Angus would be better money spent at this stage. We also need another quality front rower.

I can’t see him making the side, I have Hunt, Bird, Sullivan and Clune ahead of him in that order for halves, probably even Amone on potential alone also. If he can fight his way to a good starting role for us next year it will be either one of the great redemption stories or another wasted year.No talk re Norman up this way mate.
I think we are stuck with him next season.
If he doesn’t make the 17 at the start of the year it could force his hand to look around himself and try for a deal for 21 and 22 for a Club even more desperate than us.
His Manager would know that if he plays reserves all year his 22 contract wherever will be very low.
All about positive exposure.

last year of a contract can do all sorts of things for a playerAgree gents , I feel that he has a hard road in front of him if he intends to play in the top grade come season 2021 . However I do feel that Griffo will at least give him the opportunity to show his better attributes - should he fail , then he would be staring down the barrel of a very bleak future .
Correct..unfortunately more often than not it means they trot out the "E" for effort as their manager reminds them you could be in for a big pay cutor without a homelast year of a contract can do all sorts of things for a player

Yep..you got love what full time professionalism has done to the fabric of some team sports
Yeah and I don’t get NRL clubs seem to think they need to spend money and get all these external people not directly related to rugby league or the club whether it be other codes or so forth to motivate and improve culture and mental state etcExactly.
Someone like Norman knows he is facing the season of his life.
Imo, Norman will start the 2021 pre-season at the Dragons, where he finishes the season at is another question.
I think he would jump at any opportunity that came his way if it extended his playing career a year or 2 more.
The Knights, for example, probably need a half pretty urgently as their recruit from the Cows just put a hold on signing with them.

e.g. Hansen to Dogs. Carter speaking to Knights, ex wallabies coach in Roosters camp last year, Mary’s spoon and mind benders etc
The only people like that needed are trainers etc to improve physical game abilities and skill.
Should not the army of football club coaching staff with supposed rugby league nous be able to do all the rest of the stuff.
If they can’t then they’re not up to the job
to me it’s just money wasting and clutching at straws to look like you are doing something different.
Sounds all very like my employer and that being government but we are all used to that.
most players with that sort of stuff get inspired and absorb it all for about 5 minutes to 1 day afterwards

Like it or hate Roy’s methods at least they were from him and he was coach and accountable for it, Cost the club nothingAbsolutely right . But I myself always like the Roy Master’s approach .
Get your own players to slap the crap out off each other 5 minutes before the start of each game and then watch those hooligans ride roughshod over any team in the competition !
Especially Manly .![]()
Agree too many outsiders, Bennett doesn’t appear to call in too many.Like it or hate Roy’s methods at least they were from him and he was coach and accountable for it, Cost the club nothing
Bennett is also know to be able to adapt his coaching to each player and gets what makes players tick very quickly. With what he did with Soward and Hornby just imagine what he could have done with our 99 side with Mundine and Barrett.Agree too many outsiders, Bennett doesn’t appear to call in too many.
In regards to Roy Masters he has many times confessed that his approach did NOT work at Saints! He had to adjust it according to the different playing group at the Dragons. Now that’s clever coaching. Many modern day coaches appear to have one approach only and when that fails...whats next?
Funny nor does Bellamy call in too many external consultants either..won him a compAgree too many outsiders, Bennett doesn’t appear to call in too many.
