You take him everyday of the week, starting hooker, can play 80 minutes, could potentially have another forward on the bench instead of a hooker or a utility who can cover multiple positions

Ok I think the Mahoney rumour was actually off yesterdays podcast.. which was not as clear cut as it sounds.. there is a bit of mail he's hearing he said (and to be fair he has 3yrs on his contract).. but I mean it depends how he goes these next few weeks etc.. the captaincy has been taken off him already, not sure if they have a gun hooker behind him... I guess Turpin and Mann are there.

So dont get too excited, but feel free to death-ride the dogs, its fun to do anyway.

They have no culture because no one stays long enough to help build it. Reed's tackle efficiency was trash last year but thats often attitude. He's the perfect Flano player and can kick well from DH which is a massive advantage.

Yep, unfortunately Gus hasn't just been recruiting for 1st grade.. hes been sure'ing up those lower grades also.. there has to be fallout at some point this year though with the Turpins and Traceys and Manns and Sextons and etc etc..

But.. will they wait till end of 2024 to do it.. or will it happen mid-season.. they will want the depth....and.. will the dogs have to carry some of their freight when they leave? God I hope so...

Mahoney.. yeah no. He's pretty overrated. That said, it depends how many mins he's playing. But his service is poor, he's not the greatest defender by any means and would want a long term deal. No from me.

Lomax isnt on 800k.. I rly wish salaries were public lol... and unless someone is trading us a player of similar value.. it doesnt help us to let him go anywhere.. it just means Tuipulotu plays 1st grade and we have more wasted cap space.

Whats the point of publishing salaries. You would get told what they want you to hear and would never know all the extras or lurks and perks anyway

I love the Gus Pod (my favourite of the week), but after hearing him praise us so glowingly again this year.. it just got me thinking whats going on here? We were minutes away from a spoon last year.... and he was loving us in 2023 also..

In 2024 he obviously thinks the tigers will run last... but the other 16 sides he has in the Top 10.. and my conclusion... is that I think he is just being really nice because its the smart play.. being negative just turns fans away...... secretly he knows full well that he pulled half a dozen blokes to his club that we were hoping to sign.

Gus is a sneaky merkin. I think he is just being fake nice to us so he can offload players he no longer wants onto us since we have some $$ and he thinks we are desperate.

Like Rev says, he signed players we were chasing that he didnt even need so st*ff him.
