We might not actually sign JAC though.. so Sloan might be competing for a wing spot yet.. but imo he should just try and keep his fullback skills up.. get better.. if hes good enough maybe Gutho ends up @ctr at some point.. hes just gotta be irresistible though.. and of course Gutho does cop injuries.

i wouldnt be surprised if jonah glover is in the nsw cup set up

No he definitely didn’t but he’s a handy player.

I’m hearing he’s your target, interesting to see how it plays out as can imagine Fitz will be reluctant to release him given it won’t free up much cap space and his versatility value.

Fitz has released players but also not released players early. Might feel it’s too good of an opportunity for him to not get that starting spot as he’s all about the players interest.

We do get players in return too historically so any good juniors we can take off you ?

Blake Lawrie or Ravalawa would look great with you guys

In the SG Ball winning side he played wing but has also played plenty of 5/8 for Dapto.
I don't see 5/8 being realistic as I don't think his defence would hold up but wing should work fine.
It will be nice to finally have a genuine speedster on the wing again too if he ends up there.

We will need a replacement for Gutho if he plays FB and gets injured, and also as a replacement for the future, in my eyes that has to be Sloan. The way things are going are we certain Gutho will play FB. Either way I do hope he is a better mentor than what Hunt was, Sloan would do well to follow Gutho around.

Definitely an option in the playbook depending on how things unfold.

Agree his limitations will be highlighted even more on wing taking first or second hit up on a dirty set. We can’t afford it in today’s game.

Cup fullback to start and see from there. I doubt he plays too much NRL next year barring injuries or significant improvement and demanding selection.

Hope he does it.

While I think he was better at returning the ball and coming out of our endzone this year than previous years, I don't think we necessarily need him to do that. With Gutho, Suli & Holmes we already have 3 players who are quite adept at that role, plus we don't know who will be our other winger. If it is CTui or SFinau, then we have 4 players more than capable of that. If we sign JAC then he is also more than capable as well.

I hope he may be given a bit of a roaming role from wing. It wouldn't make sense to have him on the bench, I assume we are going to have a hooking rotation of Cook & Liddle. If we also have Sloan on the bench then we are severely limiting our forward rotations.

I think one option could be having Gutho join in the offensive line in attacking zone at first receiver, similar to the ball playing lock role with Sloan floating in and around as that inside ball option or to add an extra man to the attacking line creating the overlap.

You could certainly try it and change it if it doesn’t work, but man, the kid still has some serious holes in his game that are glaringly obvious and they get exploited quick smart in the NRL.

Shereb yep, but Coric wasnt part of the farewell package, and given his great form in the back end of the season.. I suspect he will take 1 of the spare development positions for 1 more year.. maybe he just needed a bit more time.

Gutho hasn't missed much footy over his career.

Ur spot on, I was looking that up last night... although I remember his long injury this year, he still played 21 games.. granted the buffoon was playing with a torn quad and 3 broken ribs towards the end.. which is just silly.. but anyway.. he is getting older, you never know when he gets a serious injury or 2.. the intensity he plays and trains with could catch up with him.. and tbh.. maybe he should scale it back and take a few recovery games during the year as he gets older.. we will see...
