Tigers star Adam Doueihi is reportedly being linked to a move to the Dragons after Ben Hunt's release.

That would likely mean Kyle Flanagan shifts to halfback with Doueihi slotting in at five-eighth.

The Daily Telegraph's Michael Carayannis revealed the update on Doueihi's future on SEN radio.

“It’s not a done deal yet,” Carayannis said on Doueihi’s rumoured move to the Dragons.

“With everything that has happened with Hunt, the Dragons will take a moment now just to scour the open market.

“The name’s that have been linked are Lachlan Ilias and Doueihi. Those are the names that are at the top of the list for 2025.

“For 2026 and beyond, Daniel Atkinson from the Cronulla Sharks is at the top of the list for the Dragons.”

i suppose it is possible and if Douehi doesn't work out, Gutherson might go to 5/8. So the rebuild might take longer than we wanted.

Anyway, at least Douehi has a long kicking game.

God this place is amazing at times.

All of a sudden there are questions about the Couchman twins and whether we keep 1 or 2 as somehow they are so similar.

FMD Ryan has hardly seen any game time so when that happens then some conversation might be needed but at the moment both need to be on our books and developed properly.

I remember only too well the same questions being about the Wynn brothers and how both ended up extremely good players, internationals in fact and instead of having both we ended up with Graham after missing out on Peter who was probably the better of the two.

Re other players in the system coming through they need to bide their time and follow the Couchman's through and get game time at the expense of the planks and ageing players like Lawrie, RFM, BMM, Eisenhuth.

The same questions weren't being asked but don't forget about a certain set of brothers with the surname Stewart that we let depart all because we didn't think Glenn was any good.

It isn't as if we can sign whoever we want, whenever we want. We are restricted to whoever is available. If our first choice is not available until 2026, we have to find someone else for next year for 7 and 6. If we are not careful, our halves could be JDB and Leluia.

So maybe Gutho will play 5/8 next year. Or Lykhan King-Togia. But it would not be wise to not cover those two with someone. It is just a matter of who we can get. Rome was not built in a day.

Shuster would have been good however I think he has signed with Souths on bargain basement money

they will move kennedy on in order to get hynes baxk to fullback to allow atkinson to 5/8 SO make it a real good offer so sharks run out of salary cap ,, atkinson for 28 allows flanno to keep the rebuild happening

It’s going to be an interesting off season with all this player movement. If Gutho does come onboard we are starting to look like a viable option for new signings thinking of testing the market. I also believe Flanno has instilled some much need credibility back intothe club and to be honest I thought Hunt with all his theatrics wasn’t helping in this regard. Thanks god he’s gone!
