With the halves situation, I think it will pay better to be a little patient. As some have said, see where Hunt ends up and what the fallout is there. The other one to watch is at Penrith. If they're looking at Mbye to cover Cleary, which is from a reliable source in Peter Lang who does a lot of Penrith coverage, then that may open the Schneider discussion again. Frankly, Douehi and Illias are both poor options to put it kindly. Schneider is no star, but he is so much better than those guys. Penrith will have so many halves options if they land Mbye, having Talagi, Laurie, Schneider, Cole in addition to him all looking at a halves spot. Makes me think they'll be happy to move at least one of Schneider/Cole on, with Schneider the more likely. Keep chasing Atkinson as well, but you would have to think that is more of a 2026 prospect

NickyT & Ackers are locked.. speculation over the rest.. I think Lawson & King-Togia will be 2 more of them (but neither is confirmed) and still no confirmation about TomE's contract status.

Beyond that I think some of the Train & Trial kids might fight it out for the remaining spots.. or perhaps one of the young hookers might take it if Flanno feels we need one first grade available.. I think those decisions may TBD.

Bellamy has said that he is not going anywhere - plus Papenhuzen has also said that it’s not about money as he is happy down in Sin City .

He does look ok in the couple games I saw

I suspect we need more though ie older harder finals type prop

ie we have the young props already at the club that could be very very good players over time

It is possible that he was pencilled into Souths up until a few days ago.... but after we missing May, we have made a better offer to him...

It's interesting.. There are other props we could try and agitate free, such as Sione as mentioned above.. But lodge would do the job if he's not already signed. Is available for 2025... And he's hardened, he's not a rookie.
