I was talking about Sua Faalogo. However, I honestly think Sexton is exactly what we need. He digs into the line and can unlock his runners. Astute short kicking game and good medium kicking game. Can kick a field goal. Pretty good defensively and can game manage.
But I think Faalogo will be a dynamite Halfback. I'm told the Storm are looking at playing him in the halves as well.
My ideal halves combo in 2025 is Sexton at 7 and Gutherson at 6. Holms to fullback and maybe K Flannagen to right center.

So with all the new signings and re-signings by the Tigers surely they have now reached the salary cap allocation or do they still have a war chest of funds to sign more players?
Lachlan Illias appears set to join the Dragons after completing a 2nd set of medicals today
Bunnies wont stand in his way as they pursue Matt Lodge and have pommie half Lewis Dodd on his way
Sharks havent helped matters refusing to release Daniel Atkinson from the final year of his Contract

NRL have stated a new Hunt Contract wont be registered unless its averaging around 800k per season....
Just may have shot himself in the foot here
Not sure if back ended deals are still are permitted but that is how the Broncs are trying to get him over the line , esp with Reynolds supposedly retiring at Seasons End
Yes that figure is a large stumbling block in any clubs language , more so whilst attempting to keep under their salary cap .

It may still be obtained , but only if - as you have suggested - the deal is back- ended .

If Ilias is the man. then lets give the kid a go, we did our due diligence and thats all we can expect with the bunnies chipping in some of his salary. We will have a halves combo that is team oriented, and give a shit about the Dragons. It wont be hey give me the ball on every play and make myself look good because I'm the marquee. At the very least I'll be happy if these guys just give us their best week in week out.

The Sharks have refused no such thing, it hasn't been requested by DA.
He is a very loyal person, and the fact Cronulla brought him back into the NRL after the Storm cut him loose means a lot to him. He wants to play with the Sharks. If it's only for the 2025 season then so be it, but don't be surprised if he stays with Cronulla beyond that. He truly loves the club.

Someones agitating on his behalf BBB .Perhaps his manager..
Everyones Loyal in the NRL Until :
1 They get frustrated because they cant nail a regular NRL spot
2 Or they receive a more lucrative offer
Be interesting to see where they play him if they cant move Kennedy on...........

Too true mate, there are a lot of people that think just because we might make inquiries its virtually a done deal and that the player wants to leave, even regardless of money. No way would I want to drag a player over when their heart is not in it or purely money, we have been burnt enough times with that.

I honestly believe DD that the Sharks would never do anything that would help out the Dragons, they still hold a grudge over Steve Rogers :)

He shares the same manager as Fitzy. There is no agitation. That's how he got the gig.
DA will have a regular spot from 25 onwards. An NRL team is 1-17, the specialist "No.14" is as important as the run on 13. Now we have AFB playing big minutes we don't need another middle on the bench. Enter the professional No.14.
Think Connor Watson at Easts, he got picked in the NSW side from this very position.
I have a little inside info, not much, but he does want to stay at the Sharks, I'm not saying he will, but he definitely wants to.
