I am of the opinion D Y is here because of our BOD and not the coach.

I am also of the opinion that Ryles is very much his own man and won’t / wouldn’t be dictated to.

I am also of the opinion that members of our BOD do have a say on key issues and will continue to do so.

I’ve accepted that Lawrie will be with us in 2025 & as we have said previously it is totally up to him, perform & he will be rewarded. Rav on the other hand has hands like bricks & more importantly cannot stop coming off his wing in defence & is Too big a risk to play in first grade. Hopefully an English team takes him off our hands in early 2025 fingers crossed.

I do agree that Dean Young is only here because of the board. He would of been here if Ryles came as well. To say Ryles wouldn't have him is a stupid comment. You have absolutely no idea if that is true.

Ryles applied for a job that our BOD saw fit to interview D Y for ffs what does that tell you for a start. Don’t forget they punted Hornby and he hasn’t been herd of since but good old Deano just keeps on turning up.

Ryles turns us down as conditions he requested were obviously turned down.

He refused to have his hands tied by an incompetent interfering BOD’s which is the very thing we need from our coach aka Bennett.

S F gets the job and we automatically get D Y and S F then signs K F ffs and not only that he gets a saloon passage into the halves.

Ryles goes to Parramatta and his hands are not tied and he lives or dies on his own reconnaissance which is what he wanted from us.

Do you really think if Ryles was with us and he had his own way that D Y or K F would be part of the group?

As per usual this place finds away to unload on a former player because he wouldn’t put up with our shit or conform to allow nepotism to flourish.

FMD you are dumb at times and of course you love to chip in when the brouhaha has been going for a while

I said it was an opinion and never offered it as a fact.

I based my opinion on somethings I have been told and or read and some things that seem logical

A rookie coach coming to his old club which let him go as a player and bringing in the son of a board member and power broker as his assistant knowing full well D Y actually applied for the head job and has already been employed as an assistant coach and seen off a senior coach to get temporary reins over the team seems anything but logical.

On top of that D Y has a shithouse record in his chosen area of assistant coaching namely defence.

Now Ryles might have given away some dumb penalties and done some dumb things on the field but for sure he ain’t that dumb.

Dont know about that OT, SF seems to have been handed free rein, cant see the BOD interfering with anything that has happened so far. OFC other things might happen behind closed doors and we will never know what they are.
