He used the wooden spoon insult to good effect last year (this year)
Just let them know Dean Yooung is available. Package deal with his dad Craig.Well , if ever the media wished to throw yet another spanner ( or crowbar ) into the revival of the Dragons then that little piece of gossip will surely do the trick .
Season 2025 has not begun and as we are all fully aware of the club has been through the wringer with the Hunt and Lomax sagas , that dragged on for at least 2 years .
Gossip , rumour who gives a damn ,leave the club alone and allow us to rebuild our squad into one that is a semi final contender . We do not need unsubstantiated claims that threaten to derail our season before it has yet begun.
As to that little weasel of a mole who wrote this trash a word of advice - dig yourself a deeper hole and don’t come out until you have something sensible to say !

How many coaches (post Bennett) have left us and gone on to be a head NRL coach? They extended Mary and Griffin with no one wanting them and shit results
I wonder what they will do now they have a coach thats i dunno.... competent? Decent? Knows what they are doing?
If Flannagan is here for less than McGregor these merkins are kidding themselves
Raiders?
Rival club's audacious bid to poach Flanagan for 2026

I agree with all of the above. I am hoping gutho gets the gig it would be great to see real leadership unseen for so longYes and he lost me in three key monents this year:
-Anzac Day game where Flanagan and Eisenhuth were defending like champs after Suli was knocked out, only for Hunt to give up the ball cheaply and miss numerous crucial tackles (which the coach subtly referenced in the presser)
- Waving his arms around at Flanagan in anger on that confusion last tackle play against Bulldogs at Kogarah. Instead of being a captain. Dogs scored off that set. We were in it until then.
- Similar behaviour at Ravalawa against Parra in the second last round early in the game. Team dropped its bundle following that.
He was a very poor captain. That said, these behaviours come out when you ask someone to perform a role they just arent capable of. He isnt a captain. I think he is a nice guy and good player, but not healthy for him to be the leader and it was bad for us.
BTW - I could make a similar analysis of how Lomax's mindset changed when he played centre instead of wing this year. Very costly against Manly at Brookvale and against Parra. They are quite similar.
Newcastle or Manly for sure if at all true which I doubtIt didn't take long.
No more Hunt stories. Now an "exclusive" on Dragons coach no less.
The club has an excellent coach, the bookies have us last, just leave us be.

You have to look no further than who his agent isI wonder if Flanno himself put it in the media to try and get extension talks happening. We all know he's going to need more than 3 years so I hope it (ie an extension) happens.
Too early let’s see how this year pans out first with a squad he is buildingTbf i think the club should put this to bed, why are we waiting to see what happens. Back him long term
I was thinking Chooks
They should announce it at half time during the Anzac Day Game which just happens to be a Friday....TBF I think the Dragons would be looking at doing something by the middle of next season. Flanno is slowly getting his team together and will want to show what he and the Dragons as a whole club are capable of. I go back to his words when he first started " we need to rebuild the whole club" pathways neglected for many years, shit management etc. IMO Flanno would not want to leave his project unfinished, plus I think he has already shown his loyalty to the club, as in club comes before anyone, including himself.
The answer is in this thread. Everyone is talking about it.Once again clear evidence that the media is constantly undermining the Dragons. Why are they doing this and which organizations/individuals are contributing?

There are "journalists" that stalk these forums.
They know dragons fans will engage with it and share it around and talk about it so they keep doing it.
Saints fans are easy targets. Haven't had success in a long time and have a massive and passionate fanbase.
The only way it'll ever stop is if fans stop clicking on it so they move on to another target.
I'm going to wear my heart on my sleeve here and go out on a limb, I cant see Flanno leaving us with so much on his plate. He was in a position where no club wanted to touch him, apart from the Dragons at the end. For him to leave in 2 years time it would be untenable to have him as coach right now, It would be a disgusting act, and one that I honestly dont think Flanno would want any part of, reputational wise. He knew it wasn't going to be easy at the Dragons, but I also think he likes it that way. I would be devastated if he took this offer especially after everything that has happened.Me too. The article says it's a club that is currently going ok but want a fresh face - that's Easts to a tee. Robinson has them stuck in 3rd gear and unable to get that little bit extra out of the team. They're a great side, enviable roster, score more points than anyone and defend well but can't consistently get up against any of their Top 4 running mates Cronulla, Penrith and Melbourne. Some fresh ideas could get them firing again. They'd probably take Kyle as part of a deal as well, he had a good run there.
We got Flanno because he was a hard sell and we weren't fussy but now he's seen first hand what a basket case we are from the board down and after finding it so ridiculously hard to sign any in demand players he might be thinking this is too hard and open to an early exit.
It happens with coaches as well as players, their agents/managers leak/give info to the media. It didn't take long.
