Adding a Matt Lodge-type player as many suggest to the Dragons current squad doesn't change anything. There aren't many middles that I think would be worth pursuing, but if Cronulla end up offloading Braden Hamlin-Uele, he could actually impact games. If both Molo & Ackers are write-offs, the current depth chart reads:

Lock: Jack de Belin, Tom Eisenhuth, RFM, Finau Latu, Hamish Stewart
Second-Row: Jayden Su'a, Luciano Leilua, Dylan Egan, Ryan Couchman, RFM (S: N. Tsouagranis, T&T: Halangahu)

Hooker: Damien Cook, Jacob Liddle, Kyle Flanagan

If you lose Molo & Ackers, ugrade: Halangahu to Supplementary, sign BHU to Top 30 and keep the 30th spot open for a hooker. Not having a third hooker is dangerous imo.

I’m happy with signing Guler. He ain’t no alpha, game turner etc. But he is solid. Big step up on lodge. More consistent than molo, even if not the same potential impact. Just hoping can boost His game a bit
