I remember the frustration from the tigers coaches was Klemmer was too concerned in fighting for yards in the tackle instead of getting a quick play the ball, which prevented them from putting the defence on the back foot. I watched him in some games after this was mentioned & it was an obvious observation.....

Klemmer is a sideways movement, past his best. Surely the Dragons have enough old heads in the team now.
1. We do not have enough size. We cannot ask Toby Couchman to play above his weight for 27 rounds. We need someone big to help Guhler.
2. Who else is available?
3. Klemmer would basically be free for one year. We don't have to pay Molo's $550k and we are also requesting compensation. Klemmer will cost us $350k with Wests paying the $300k difference in his contract.

Can't say I'm fussed about the Klemmer potential signing. Passed his best.

However, in saying that, a 1yr deal, subbed by the Tigers wouldn't be too bad, anything beyond that wouldn't be appropriate imo.

The other point to make is that the release, or potential there of, is dependent on us receiving adequate compensation in return, whatever that maybe. To me that signals "no compo, no release". It may also signal that the talks for Hazelton, maybe for '26 onwards.

At this late stage, Klemmer will do just fine.
Get him in the red v with the rest of the discards and rejects and watch him play finals this year.
Like it.

Maybe, but Klemmer better come with a clean bill of health otherwise no thanks. I understand the concerns that we are light on middles but surely our older brigade could step up this year given they have experience, know what to expect and at the back end of their career. In '26, our younger brigade will be 12 months older and better prepared to step up and rightfully earn the contract they deserve. To me, our big year is '26, not 25. Don't throw money away nor lock up short term stop gap players for short term gains.

Compared stats between Klemmer & Molo for 2024 not a huge difference but Klemmer’s are slightly better he has also only missed 4 games in two seasons & has played 3 more games then Molo.

I have to admit looking at 2026.. a 2yr Klemmer deal could makes things a bit tight.. could lose us a young one (we cant fit them all anyway mind you).. it depends if JDB or Sele are still at the club.. but ifs and maybes in the future are very much secondary to having a strong 2025 first.
rev dont forget m molo eisenhuith rfm also off contract so we should be right

I read that Klemmer's current contract gets extended if he plays 14 first grade games for the Tigers this year. Wests probably won't play him so as not to trigger the contract extension. Klemmer's manager will want him playing first grade - doesn't matter where - so he retains his value and can get a better deal for the future. So does Flanno really want Klemmer, or is this just a manager beat-up to get his clients name front and centre? I'm starting to think it's the latter, because we don't particularly need Klemmer.

We do are you kidding? Molo doesn't want to play or train & we are a middle short.
