The Rumours Thread

Someone mentioned Hazeltons defence in another thread. Slow as a snail can't see him getting any faster, looks like he runs in slow motion

I watched him closely yesterday and he looked like he was struggling just minutes after he got out there, major plodding going on and he left a hole for a Penrith try scorer to stroll through. He looked like early Kerr, top heavy or just tired the way he was moving, slow loping strides. Maybe it was round 1 rust but he looked less than fit. I know he plays alright most weeks but I was a bit put off the way he played yesterday .

As for Tom Hazelton he said he wanted to make a decision about his future before the game in Las Vegas and he hasn't. Seems as though he is struggling to make his mind up. Although reports are that he will most likely stay, maybe it's not that certain.

fascinating that it is reported we are only making a 12month contract happen with Klem. I thought we may need him for two years.

secondly if FMolo moves into a cycle of not being paid post sick leave.........and FMolo does not want to play and fufill his contract............why should the Dragons be penalised via a player in their top30 that does not want to play

We should be within our rights to sack FMolo if we have issued a breach notice (after his leave as ceased)

This is why it was always absurd to offer him 600k like some were suggesting. He's no where near worth that, and as has been stated previously 450k is still overs, just not huge overs. Caused the first penrith try because he couldn't get to marker, and then was slow to move to close the gap on Yeo who just went through and scored.

Constantly turned his back in defence. Not to mention the dumbest charge down I've ever seen. Early second half, Sharks are on top, and just completed a great defensive set. Panthers players all standing around the kicker, yet Hazleton bizzarely decides to try a charge down whilst the Sharks are on top and about to receive the ball in great field position. Unsurprisingly, Panthers get the ball from the charge down given there were 3 or 4 of them positioned around the kicker, and start a fresh set 40m out from their own line. They go on to receive a set restart in front of the posts and score that set. Panthers end up jumping out to a 14 point lead off the back of it when Sharks would've been on top otherwise. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Personally I’m a fan of the 12 month contract! Like to see more of it. Seems the right offer imo.

Tamale did some good things but also there were some bad. He lost the ball after some good runs a couple of times but it is only his 2nd game of NRL so he will learn and end up being a pretty good players. He was a guy I was looking forward to making it in the NRL in the red V. Hopefully the guys that Flanno stuck with are better such as Finau and CT.

I get your point, he did some great stuff last year for us too, but he would be in reserve grade for us. As others say, he has also always had errors in his game.
He's only 20 so not sure about the "he's always had errors in his game" comment especially considering the amount of errors Sloan has in his game and he's had 59 games in the top grade.

I think we will regret losing Tamale and if he wasn't a better option than either Fegai then I am poorer judge than what people already think I am.

I apologise if I mistook your tone.

I'm just tired of some posters constantly spruiking the "Dean Young will be the next coach because Craig Young will make it happen" conspiracy theory.

It makes no sense and I just don't get the fixation of some people...
Apology accepted, Dragsters.

I understand your frustration with other posters. It's possible they may not fully trust the board right now, and it might take some time for that trust to rebuild. Hopefully, with patience, things will improve.

A few people were involved in some heavy club politics for a long time. To me, it seemed that they were lining their pockets and crunching back room deals ingraciating themselves and their mates.

Dean Young is not a good enough coach to get a head coach gig, so if he landed the Dragons job, he would drag us down to the bottom of the ladd and care more about his father's desires for a job on the Board again than anything else.
