Honestly what a joke, I hate both teams but the commentary convinced the video ref there. Absolute joke just a bad defensive decision everyone knows to just flop like a soccer game bloody joke

The Raiders scored with 1m 36s left of the clock. When the Sharks kicked off there was 3s on the clock.
This is a bloody disgrace.
The NRL should change the rules so that within the final 2 minutes of a game - the clock stops as soon as a try is scored and only restarts with the kick off plus when the ball goes dead in-goal the clock stops immediately and restarts with the drop out or 20m tap.

Very simple mate. Once the ref signals try the clock should stop and not restart until the opposition kicks off. It’s really not that hard then there is zero time wasting

Usually I find it to be BS, but this time was an exception because Cronulla lost and that's always a good thing

Be careful what you ask for with rule changes. It can swing both ways. I would hate the dragons scoring in last 2 minutes to take the lead and then plays going everywhere and a miracle try scored by opposition.

Of course. After all, it’s one time in the game when the ball is not in play and there’s definite stop and restart points in time.

very sad to see the sharks lose like that, I have a birthday this weekend and at my age I could not have wished for anything better than that last 90 seconds, on a side note on the sharks does the ref travel with the rest of the team on the team bus or does he have to find his own way to the game.

I don’t see why the last 2 mins should be any different to the rest of the game. You shouldn’t rely on winning in the last 2 mins. If you’re good enough you should have set up a win much earlier. I think it’s unfair on the winning team to do this to them. May be great for fans but the game is 80 mins long. Maybe not waste so much time earlier when you had a chance.

Why not go further. If a game has say 10 tries you lose roughly 15 minutes with the ball in play for what? I get there's considerations around player welfare but it could be offset with interchange. I also understand they want the games to fit neatly into the two hour window for TV but this ticking of the clock once a try is scored and kickers lining up literally just standing there staring at the posts drives me nuts

Maybe they should have time off every time the ball is out of play. Time off as soon as a try is scrored and time resarted at kick off. Time off as soon as the ball is in touch or knocked on. Time back on once scrum is fed or ball is played etc. Reduce the time of each half by a suitable amount if need be.
