Not like we didn't already know craig young was still hanging around on the St George League's side despite not being on the St George Illawarra board.. but just an example again of how out of touch the club are with reality. Remove this disgraceful stain from having any involvement with the club. Why the f**k is he still there? Not only is he incompetent in all aspects of his job, but do they think fans have forgotten what he did a couple years ago? Get out of the club, we don't want you.

absolutely he and the rest of the dead wood living in the past has to be removed immediately. The whole organisation needs a revamp.NOW.

Don't fool yourself if you don't think that he still doesn't wield any power in the background with his gruff threatening demeanor.
As long as Doust is there he'll always be lurking.

Every single Board member or Club Executive who has been around for the last 10 years or so shares culpability for the appalling lack of success. Hopefully they are all shown the door once the new CEO takes over. The deadwood should also be cleared out of the Leagues Club as they indirectly influence the football club. Yet another layer of ineptitude filling their superannuation accounts with f.ck all to offer. If we must still be half owned by a pub in this day and age then at least put some smart, successful people there.

Dom Young free to leave Roosters immediately. Liability in defence but one of the fastest players in the game. Probably heads back to knights

That is just about the only thing about the Rorters that I envy. If a player isn't measuring up, you get a couple of chances maybe, then it's out the door. No sentiment. If you are successful, the they treat you VERY well - it seems like jobs for life. Dragons need to adopt that model, but it needs a backer with deep pockets and a willingness to back the club. Bruce Gordon? Nah. Twiggy? Jeez I hope so!

Roosters moto is "We play to win premierships". It is on the wall where they have all their trophies. Booting Brandon Smith and Dom Young is so evident of to that.

Saints moto would be "We play to make the numbers and not finish last". That is what they do so well I have seen in the last 10+ years. They pick up club rejects and release their best juniors to keep with their moto.

No to Young, no where near good enough. Newcastle already going to be in cap trouble. Let them take him back, and push the narrative to Connor Votano that they've put another road block in front of him. Failing that, go after getting McCarthy back and at worst potentially Schiller as a short term back up if there is nothing better on the market at the time.

Roosters lose their patience with their star recruit and f**k him off in the blink of an eye. Meanwhile dragons persist with Sloan who has had a million and one chances and continues to underperform. Roosters don’t tolerate mediocrity. Meanwhile at the dragons…..

I take your point Slip but on the other side of the coin the Roosters can afford to give players that in their opinion are underperforming the flick because there are plenty of quality players ie Cronk, Tedesco, DCE (tbc ) etc that are and were wiling ready and able to move there....unlike us that 99 % of the time as you pointed out have attracted journeymen or players that are getting past it or are rejects from other clubs ....whether we like it or not one of our biggest hurdles for attracting quality personnel is our location

If the Chooks land DCE which looks highly likely, Saints should go hard for Sandon Smith. Smith / Atkinson halves combo would be very solid. LKT and those 2 would be a great crop of halves to have. No more of Flanno and Illias. I rate Sandon, especially after one of his first games in a semi up against the Sharks where they had Teddy, Manu and I think Walker off ( I think they were also donw a man or 2 for a period) and he simply took control and won them the game. I knew this kid would be good from then. DCE will definitely push him down the order with Walker and Savala there now. Saints are crazy not to get the ball rolling now. I heard Chooks are only offering around 400k and he knocked them back to extend.

Another good option is Fa'alogo from the Storm. He is a half in waiting and wasted there. They should be going hard after him if not Smith. The reason I brought up Fa'alogo is because I heard new expansion clubs may be targeting him so he must be available soon.

Yes , no brainer. 3 year contract and by then Reed will be ready. Also having 4 pr 5 halves ( Sandon , Atkinson, LT, Lilias & Flanagan competing for 2 positions can only be healthy.
