someone mentioned Kevvie as an option to take over from flano. That's real Mensa stuff there.

Hopefully he can have Mary and Daley as assistants
Flanagan is our best option & needs to be given the time required. Punting a coach & continually starting the cycle all the time is not going to fix anything especially expansion on the horizon.

Deadset. Our issue isn’t with coaching it’s that we lack quality players in the most important positions (halves, front row) at a time where there seems to be a lack of quality players at those positions or they are locked up on long term deals. We have young guns coming through who will develop into those players and Atkinson coming next year which will help but we are still probably a couple years away until the squad is turned over into one that Shane wants. People are so easy to bag the new signings but who did you want us to replace Hunt and Lomax with, we did the best we could given the situation we were in

Agree. Performance has been bad for at least ten years. I think it’s clear that SF is trying to recruit experienced mentors while developing the squad from within. It‘s a hell of a challenge and very hard to judge but I think, at least, we have to acknowledge his commitment.

I don’t know why didn’t try signed Jamal Fogarty. He would of solved a lot of issues for us and his playing career best footy
Agree. Fogarty and Atkinson would be a really solid combination.
I suspect SF has identified emerging talent in the junior ranks. I know this will attract derision here but, as I say, it’s what I suspect is the reason he’s not chasing an established halfback.

Yeah think that guy is Kade Reed, Flanno has spoken about how it’s important to develop halves within and how he thinks Reed will have a long career in the NRL. Don’t think a good experienced half for him to learn from is a bad idea though. Not sure Flanno or Ilias are those type of guys

Which is what everyone wanted in years gone by to identify talent & keep our juniors he starts to do the exact thing fans wanted only to be criticised.

Absolutely agree, given time Flanagan will develop a quality side from within,I think we can see the flowers starting to bloom with our young forwards currently coming into the NRL.

Acknowledge his commitment hahaha, that's a good one to have read.

Flanagan's win loss ratio as dragons head coach is currently at 42%. Griffin's was 38%, Mary's was 46% and Price's was 36%.

If this season continues on the downward trajectory, Flanagan will soon have lower win percentages than all three previous coaches.

Don't worry about that though, he shows up to training, game day and does his media duties, so can't question his commitment! ✅ Extended for another 5 years as we're clearly building.

All these apologists posts this morning forget that Flanagan has a three year deal. He wasn't planning on a 5-10 year 'rebuild' taking place and neither was the BOD which is why it remains three years and that's fair enough. He better pull his finger out quick smart or he will be moved on and rightly so!

Yes I'm sure that's it and has nothing to do with the fact that Flanagan's recruitment has been poor at best.

Let's just give Fraud Flanno another 5 years and wait until Kade Reed gets a go in first grade before we make any hasty decisions about sacking an underperforming coach.

Dead set people on here love bagging the BOD who are bad enough but imagine how much worse things would be if they let some of the fans make the decisions.

You and your two mates should consider forming a political party to run on your single issue of anti-Flano. I expect the word ‘apologist’ to be included in all of your campaign ads.

It’s just plain boring.

Well how is this all of a sudden a rebuild?

You and your apologist mates are coming up with excuses for your man Fraudagan that don't even remotely resemble the reality.

FMD he said pre season we're a way better team than we were last year! That's not the rhetoric of a coach who is making it clear to fans the team are rebuilding.

When will you and others pull your heads out of your backsides and wake up?

Have to remember we were labeled as favourites for the spoon! But have lost 5 games by a total of 17 points . And 1 blow out.
last year we had multiple blow outs .
anyway there’s no way to convince you otherwise!
get another coach in and we’ll still get same results.
broncos changed coach and getting same results

Spot on lads!
If the coaching years prior was right we wouldn’t be on this f**king situation!! Wonder if they were calling for Mary to be sacked after a few years! Probs not because he’s a “club legend” and won’t have a problem with young taking over either.

There's an ignore button for a reason.

Life on here is much better with it!
Yes. I try not to use the ‘ignore’ function because it also implies that you actually care about the arrogance and rudeness of the trolls in the first place.

I’ve read their ‘opinions’ for the past couple of years. Even on this occassion it’s him who engaged with me - not the other way around. Ironically, it’s him and his mates who can’t ignore any opinions that they perceive to differ from their own. It’s funny how arrogance becomes its own embarrassment like that.

He’s welcome to self-flagellate to his own embarrassment if he wishes.

Cheers

Go the storm - please put 72 on the Tigers - so the Dragon mannequin can get taken out of the Bourke St Mall store window and hidden back into the storeroom.
