Against the Warriors we had NO ball in the first half, from a 7 - 1 six again stat, they also dropped the ball 3 times and Liam Kennedy called them all knock backs (those are never knock backs). The penalties were also against us and twice we were penalised for strip's, that weren't strip's and the bunker said they were.

Why do people lie about such easily verifiable information?

We won six agains 5-2 and it was 1-2 at half time. We also won the penalty count 7-6 and it was 4-4 at half time.

If Val hadnt lost his kicking mojo we are Top4, im hurting as much as anyone but in a competition as tight and elite as this, to be scoring more tries than ur opponents means u r doing something right... to still lose those games off the back of kicking is so cruel.

I see this point I really do. Holmes has been off with the boot terribly and Lomax was one of the best in this department.

The coach has had this team up for all but one of the games. He would be fuming and ruing what might have been more than anyone.

In such a tight competition it sucks we have lost 4 opportunities we had to through various means, not just Holmes' boot. In such a comp it's unlikely we will get that many more chances to make up for 4 tight losses. Love how we are seeing the youth but the experience we have brought in is not doing its job - get us home in the tight ones. Something we are very used to by now anyway.

I guess I would have settled for 2/4 but instead we have nothing to show...that's going to catch up with us end of the season. Hence the doom and gloom.

What is noticeable with Holmes's goalkicking is that his follow through is not as straight as it was say during the trials. For those two trial games he had a straight follow through. In recent games he appears to be stabbing at the ball or pulling his follow through.

I'm sure he has been working on his kicking. Maybe his kicking leg, which is the one he fractured when at the Cowboys, is beginning to succumb to some stresses and he his favouring it when he tries to follow through?

A lot of our tries have been scored out wide so you'd think that he has had plenty of practise to convert them. Lomax went off with his goal kicking for a bit last year at the start but came really good for us and the SOO games.

Mate at the end of the day there are a lot of people on here who are genuinely interested in debating various aspects of the team, the coach, the games, the pathways etc etc. It's nice to read differing opinions and thoughts about all of these different parts of being a supporter without having to defend your position as either a Flanagan hater or a Flanagan supporter.

Unfortunately what happens with your continuous posts is that it drags every single discussion back to the same battle ground that you seem to want to get stuck into, which is basically get rid of the coach. I don't know why you feel the need to repeat this over and over but I can tell you that the constant moving of the discussion across multiple threads back to the same boring argument that you and others like I'm Hornby seem to need to do makes it a seriously depressing discussion group and stops people from being bothered to give their opinion.
I'm saying this to you as a human being, hoping that you can understand what I'm getting at. You are entitled to your opinion about the coach, but when you shout it from the rooftops as often as you do, you make these discussions an unpleasant experience for a lot of people.

I said we would be in the Top 4 (which we would on wins and losses as the comp is so even right now).

What seems to have been taken out instead was that im indicating we are genuinely one of the Top 4 teams in the NRL.. which obviously we are not.. I would rank our squad as 17/17.. which is again why its so impressive that we have been able to do what we have done.. and why goalkicking has hurt us so badly.. we should have been riding some real positivity.

I was at the game and in the first half we had no possession and we were all commenting on how many 6 agains went against us. There was also the 3 warriors dropped balls that Liam Kennedy said Knock back and the 2 strip balls penalties. You might think that the stats verify it but your quoted stats don't seem correct. The crowd I sat with were counting all the 6 agains in the first half and they were significant. Yes they evened up but they gassed us and that is why we went into half time losing. A lie is saying something you say knowing it is incorrect. If you don't know it is incorrect, it can't be a lie. I'd be careful having full faith in those stats you quoted for the period prior to halftime.

Maestro, I have also noticed in other games that 6 agains seem more than stats show NOT just in saints games
