Since when was Flanno the recruitment manager?

This falls on Ben Haran & Shane Millard period
He was the list manager actually for a year or two under Mary if I'm not mistaken, his recruitment record then was about as piss poor as it is now, not much has changed.

However as others have pointed out, he does have a big say in recruitment and retention, it's not as if he is at the mercy of Haran and Millard as to the thirty man squad he has choose from, what a dumb assumption to make.

Does Shane do anything in your mind?
Not responsible for recruitment
Not responsible for defence
Not responsible for attack
Not responsible for close losses
Not responsible for any losses
Not responsible for terrible retention choices
Not responsible for poor team selections
Not responsible for dropping players for 1 point losses
Not responsible for poor game plans
Not responsible team motivation
Not Responsible for our our finish last year
Not responsible for where we finish up this year
Not responsible for his false hope promises on how good his second year would be cause he wrote off the first year before he started
Not responsible for anything
Does Shane “Not responsible“Flanagan actually do anything ?

Might as well sack everyone, as no one else seems to do anything at all and it’s all on the coach to micromanage every role.

Also Deano has no responsibility when it comes to the dragons performance but at the same time he’s the mastermind behind the blues… this is all making heaps of sense here…

So what is Flano responsible for ?
Sounds like you can’t answer the question like me.

U have to wonder Mitch Woods is thinking now that Galvin and Burton are the halves

sexton u would think the Dogs would keep for 2025 in case of a half injury

Mitch and his management would not have thought when Mitchell signed long term that Galvin was on the cards in 2025 and 3 more seasons

very interesting and u would suspect Souths and Roosters would be circling and his manager to agitate

Bulldogs have announced Latu signing immediately , it seems no swap deal has been done , interesting to see what our crappy recruitment have got in store with 3 spots remaining
I imagine it would be at least 2 juniors being promoted to the top 30 and maybe 1 new player recited. Hopefully a prop.

I think Schiller has a lot of mistakes in his game. If we do sign him, and I think he has more in the thrust department than Sloan and Allan, he has to minimise his mistakes.
I recall Schiller years ago was our great white hope going back to his Year 11 days at a country High School when he was killing it and a real standout. We let him finish his schooling and he was going to be our long-term full-back. Somewhere along the way in our lower grades, flaws were discovered- defence and defensive reads from memory, and we let him go. He went to Canberra and they couldn't fix him so now he's at Newcastle.

Do we really think going back to the future is a good idea?

As long as no one pinches Kade Reed, I'm happy for the Roosters and Bulldogs to have their halves recruitment, retention and selection dilemmas. I'm beginning to think that Reed and LKT (particularly after his standout game against the Sharks) could be our long-term halves. Don't know where that leaves Atkinson. As I've already posted, I don't think even the Sharks know his best position.

Respectfully, King isn't what we need. Not a player that's going to dominate a game or an opposition pack. Should not have been in the origin side either. For what he offers vs what you'd have to pay for him considering he's played origin now he'd be no where near worth it. Seems like a great guy though
Yeah honest and serviceable- a latter day Monty Porter.

Unfortunately nepotism is a big problem at the dragons. Craig and Dean. Flanno and Kyle. Hamish Stewart's dad Scott works for the club and Latu probably thought he deserved a debut before he did. Stewart has been good don't get me wrong but the Latu loss will hurt for many years long after Flanno is gone.

I think the truth be known that we stuffed up badly with Latu's negotiations. Our Recruitment and Retention and Retrenchment personnel are a bunch of deadshits by the sounds of things - Boooo!
Flanno is fond of saying that he is "disappointed" with how the negotiations for Latu proceeded and that he gets on with most of the player managers but not Latu's. I'm beginning to think he is delusional. All those props (Saifiti et al) we missed out on earlier in the season- are we really going to buy that this is the player not wanting to come to the club when the basket case Tigers attract just about everyone to their hole of a centre at Leumeah- OR- is it the player managers not wanting to play ball with Flanno. I know where I'm putting my money.

You may well be correct but I’m thinking not paying overs to get them might also have been part of it.
