I feel like Flannos sharks connection gives us a shot with Uele, I cant assess other teams players tbh, i dont watch enough of them.. I assume his best years are behind him.. but we need more 1st graders like jack and klemmer have been this year.. particularly if we r letting them both go.. need a big upgrade for Lawrie also..... Klem on a cut price 1yr deal could be possible actually.. he has to be kept hungry.... maybe because Jack was on big dollars it was another story to keep him.. but I still think we will pay the price for letting him go.

Khan Pereira is another one, the games ive seen him.. he was amazing.. speed, finishing, aerial... but seems like there are good reasons hes in reserve grade.. i dunno what his physicality is like and whether we could turn him around.. thats rly my issue with Sloan.. you have to rip into tackles offensively, you have to really believe you will break through... defensively similar with contact, especially stopping a try.

Sometimes the wingers defensive issues are almost completely caused by the blokes inside them.. I have no idea whether this applies to Pereira or not...

Probably won't come to this but if it's a choice between BHU and Trey Mooney, I'm going to take Mooney. BHU has rarely started for the Sharks in the last few seasons and turns 31 in Jan 2026. The Sharks pack has been criticized for some toothless performances this season and my guess is that he has been identified as No 1 scapegoat.

100%, Mooney is coming into his prime.. we could easily accommodate both of them.. very easily.. but whether we can land 2 of them is another story.. NAS is another that would be on the outer.. but im not convinced he would be willing to give up 2-3 years in the storm system to come here, even if the storm would prefer to clear his cap space.

Talakai would be great off the bench as an impact forward or starting at centre. His versatility is important. If a player gets injured mid game he can cover centre and backrow. Hamlin-Uele would be good also, he's better than most of our props. I'd be happy if we get any of them

Big no to both of them. Takes roster spot and salary cap. We've already got players to do those roles. We've had poor cap management & picking up either of those guys would continue this trend.

I'm sure our new CEO and Recruitment Manager know what they are doing. My view is to first secure 3 Marquee players on a 3-year deal:

Prop - to lead our forward pack by example.
Halfback - to fill the void until Reed is ready.
Fullback - Gutherson to center in place of Suli.

My bet is that Flano has decided to keep him there because the 10 wins and his recent form just might entice a transfer elsewhere. Back in first grade if he fails again, which let’s face it is on the cards, unloading him becomes more challenging.

May very well be as you have suggested Tuddy , also more money added to the Dragons bank account to purchase a half that is able to kick and possesses great attacking skills
