I am actually dumbfounded by this reported Kerr signing just repeating the same dumb shit offering a 2 year deal to someone no one was chasing not to mention a player we got rid of to begin with absolutely braindead.

The Josh Kerr who came up from Melbourne and basically did nothing for four years I would not want back. He could best have been described as tall- but that's all and I was advocating getting rid of him well before his eventual departure.

The Josh Kerr who's been playing for the Dolphins looks to have had the complete makeover. His workrate, skill and intensity was much better than it was at the Dragons. Was the coaching of Woolff the difference? I'll be interested to see which version turns up if we do indeed re-sign him.

Interesting to note that Billy Burns, Jack Gosiewski and Jackson Ford were all underwhelming at the Dragons but have been showing more to like at their current clubs. Maybe there is something in the coaching theory after all.

I understand the argument but I don’t like it nor am i willing to take a chance on him & for 2 years come on surely 1 year would have got the deal over the line & it would have spurred him on to perform next season.

Maybe- but the cashed up Perth Bears are looking for recruits for 2027 so a one year deal may have seen us lose him in 2027 for more money than we can spare.

Shows how shit our team is. The players you speak of were picked week in and week out at the dragons, regardless of how shit they were. (And they most definitely were) When they were let go, they had to step it up at their new clubs or lose their careers. So they did.

Lewis Dodd given permission to leave Souths, to which they would be willing to chip in a sizable portion of his salary.

For mine, he hasn't adapted well to NRL style of play, however, the heavily subsidized part sort of gets me interested. But, only if we could move Ilias on.

Thoughts?

In regards to Josh Kerr he has definitely been playing some decent footy for the Dolphins and does appear to be a completely different player - as mentioned by red&white4 he has a damn good coach in Woolfe.

Still I cannot help but think he showed no true aggression
for a big forward in the years he was here previously. We are taking a huge gamble that he current good form will continue back here at the Big Red V .

Unfortunately the cupboard is all but bare for these big boys of the pack . Should Klemmer be extended he will be able to spur Kerr on to greater heights , plus Flanagan will know how to get the best out of him as he is not the type of coach who simply twiddles his thumbs when the going get tough .

Let’s be honest, Dodd has been treated just as poorly as Ilias yet the media ( Anasta ) and his goon mates have barely said a word about it. Scared to upset Wayne??
