Lots of positives out of last weeks debut, even though it was a game we got well beaten in.. I did go through it in the NSW Cup game review in JA, but cant wait for him to start in Round 1 next year.. the speed, the skill, the kicking game, the organising.. its all there.. its just that he is 19... and someone like Glover is 23, and that 4yrs is a lot in terms of just getting physically bigger and accustomed to running and tackling big fast strong men... so I wouldnt be throwing him into finals if you get me.. but if he stays fit by this time next year I reckon he will be a gun in cup.

100% this.. I mean Atkinson is likely to be our 7 unless we can source someone.. Pezet would be a great fit but Anasta is giving it to us every opportunity he can come up with.. so id say buckleys hes coming here.

Doesnt help were playing full strength penrith tomorrow looking for a hitout before finals.. not only a loss coming but probably a big one, even if they pull Cleary and co off in the 2nd half.... attitude aside we dont have cattle left and we have our cup final tomorrow night also.

Personally can’t find a spot for Luch in our 17 next year with Egan & Sua on an edge and Stewart at 13. And the emergence of Hanagalu. And on 700k.

Luch can head to the front row rotation over the off season.
Or just maybe he’s our new halfback …. He put in our best field position kick this season … 50m on the fly … and found the ground!

I think Luch's only position is prop. To many backrowers much better than him coming through. I am still waiting for his good game of the year. He has not been as good as I hoped on his return, which is a shame as he can be so good on his day.

Good on him for sacking deadwood...but will it help get a winning football side in the next year or 2??

I can't complain since Lancaster joined. All decisions seemed to be spot on. Let's hope the Tim Watsford one is a good call and there is good reason to extend coach Flanno. Blooding 9 juniors this year you can't blame Saints for struggling a bit so hoping that is the short term pain for long term gain.

I see a few posters are interested / keen to see Cook at 13 and for the life of me I just don't see how that even remotely works for a few games in a row let alone a season. We are a small easily contained pack without an alpha leader and any notion of Cook or KF in that role full time will only make that situation worse.

Young Hamish should be the heir apparent to that role on a full time basis and 1 Couchman returned to the prop rotation and taking Luciano with him leaving Sua, Egan, Couchman, Tsougranis and Halangahu fighting out the back row.

I know it's not how a top4 side gets to do things... But we're going after a bunch of players that are just proper upgrades that can play several positions in theory.. And who we get could shuffle who's left...

I.e. we wanted a marquee 7, let's assume we missed that one.. But that changes 1 or 2 players positons in our spine already... We wanted douiehi as a 13 (though I think he may have ended up @7), that would have changed the cook+liddle+kyle situation.. Its all intertwined and I reckon we won't know our best 17 until this roster is close to formalised... Still 4 (5 with ilias) players to come yet..would love to see 1 or 2 announced post season..
