Big Nelson is a risk, but one I. Willing to take. He is an enforcer and can help protect and lead the youth. (Even if I’m not a huge fan of him as a person, there aren’t too many options out there)

I hope we don’t loose Sloan. He Imroves every year. Work on positional play, learn off Gutho and he can play a big part moving forward. He is a point of difference in our back line and we will be poorer without him
I used to agree, but while I love seeing him run and score those tries his defence and his effort is too inconsistent. He just doesn’t involve himself enough in games for mine. If we can buy in a speedy, powerful winger I wouldn’t be too miffed to see him go.

Sloan can run but just doesn’t get involved enough for me. I’ve said before, he should watch hours of Nathan blacklock videos, even bring Tingha in as a mentor…being present to support will create so many more chances..
He is a liability in defence also. I actually think Dufty was better. Ramsey was the jewel but unfortunately injury has ruined his chances of reaching his potential.

IMO the game is moving away from the big, giant heavy prop and now more into the more mobile, aggressive and aerobic type (one exception in P. HAAS of course).

NAS is cumbersome and for that reason he gives away a lot of penalties and makes fundamental mistakes.

Just need to take a look at the packs of the top 4 teams this year to see this. Even Penrith don't really have a monster forward. Lindsay Smith is tall but only weighing in at 106kg.

I think we already have the prototype in the Coucho's , we just need that aggressive bull to lead the way so they can follow. I'm not convinced NAS is that bull.

Well if the storm are willing to chip in 300/400k it’s worth a shot
Yeah I don’t think they’d do that but maybe they pay 200k a year for 2 years so we pay 600k then it looks like a decent price for him. I’m not sure Bellamy would go for that but it’s worth asking the question.

This is true and when you add Stewart and Egan to the mix we’re looking ok. I also think Halangahu will be a superstar in a couple of years. A couple of big hitters to protect the young guns makes sense though and having Nelson in the 30 plus Klem if we give him another year gives us the ability to soak up the early game physicality. But I do take your point.
If we can get Haas for 2027 for 3 years that would be so good and I’d take out a second mortgage to bet on us making the 8. I don’t care how much he wants, pay it.

Wow - Jonah Pezet having a great game for the Storm - he can tackle and kick. How much money are the Storm paying him to be a back-up.
If he was at the Dragons i guarantee you these weasel journalists would sob that he is being denied a start and push for he to leave. Why arn't they getting stuck into the Storm?

So would they be saying to drop Munster or Huges? What a stupid comment.

Plus he doesn’t have to push to leave … he has that option for 2026 since Hughes extended his deal.
Hopefully the Dragons have a red hot crack and put in a sizeable offer.
Problems include Anasta is his manager and the Knights may have the inside running - that’s where he played his juniors.
