Wasn't Ilias , got found out as soon as he didn't have the players around him . They won one from six to finish the season . Players come back and they're killing it again . They were better with LKT . IT'S NOT ILIAS !!
Could be similar srory to our NRL side. Wonder LKT and Kyle thoughts? As a game of forcing back....we haven't been consistently winning that battle for years now.

Between 4 to 7 slots to fill in our roster.. and Stewart is the only 13 on the books.. I easily think we could take a punt on a 2yr deal.. hes only 27.5yrs of age.

Its a very lightweight pack, but what else are we going to do with those slots? Proper 1st grader and some aggro.

Another year to make excuses for the coach because he doesnt yet have the troops...the focus is on 2027...before long the real focus is 2028.

I believed Shane when he said he was serious about success at the Dragons. Everything I see in the marketplace says otherwise.

Who have the Dragons re-signed for next season?

The Red V have thrown their faith into their emerging talent, with Loko Pasifiki Tonga, Ryan Couchman, Toby Couchman, Dylan Egan and Jacob Halangahu secured long-term.

Lyhkan King-Togia, Kyle Flanagan and Jacob Liddle established themselves as key players in the spine in 2025 and were rewarded with new contracts.

Meanwhile, Christian Tuipulotu was one of a few backline players to land another deal as Nathan Lawson and Nick Tsougranis were also extended.

That one would be straight out of the Dragons playbook. We let JDB walk and sign Radley as his replacement.
They need to be searching far and wide for that elusive prop. Ditto for that winger/centre.
And importantly, stop making idiotic retention decisions. Letting Tamale walk was a seriously stupid decision, same for Finau. The rubbish excuses that they aren’t ready for first grade is absolute hogwash. If it was a personality issue between player and coach, then sorry, that’s on Flanno. He needs to get better at man management. The best coaches know how to extract the best out of each player for the better of the team.
Flanno also needs to stay out of the way when it comes to negotiating player contracts. Anderson needs to take charge of this and start landing some astute signings pronto.

If we did get Radley, we would still be chasing a bigger bodied prop.. and then there is Klemmer too.. dunno the answer, but Radley is only 27.5yrs of age.. definitely improves our chances, and we cant be expecting Stewart to do massive minutes every round, need to protect him for a bit longer yet.

I think Cook would be that unofficial 2nd lock (realistically with the players we have currently he will play there a fair bit next season), but yes we do need someone else in the squad that can play lock. I wonder if either Toby/Ryan will get reps there in pre season.

Could luc move to 13? His ball skills are fantastic, despite his size, and it’s time for him to move to the middle. Makes sense to me. He probably isn’t an 80 min player, so cook can relieve him for a period.

Guler 111kgs, LPT 121kgs, Halangahu 109kgs and if Klem and Luc hang around they're 109 + 114kgs. The Couchys and Stewart would all be over 100kgs at a guess, so Radley would be by far the lightest at 92kgs.
I can't see Radley coming to us anyway, Gus would be on that like a seagull on a chip or Bellamy. Radley would have better options is what I'm saying.
But we could do with a big bugger or two up front as we've been saying for the last 5 years.

It's a pity Villiame Fifita did not work out. He is a monster and had the size they needed in the pack. Having him and LPT would have been one of the biggest front row combos in the NRL.

if Fifita's body was a bit more resilient I think he would have made it as an impact prop.. cause f**k me he has probably 3 epic runs in him per game.. 10 pin skittling runs... but he is constantly injured which limits his development, and really limits the ability to get his fitness to the point he is able to handle more than 10-15mins a game.. I think partly its because he has such a huge muscly frame.. it seems to be prone to breaking down.

Heaven forbid that is our option to cover lock moving forward.

Several variations of it were tried this year and it was ugly.
