I don’t think any of that 2026 out of contract list gets retained, so a major overhaul in upgrading and recruiting for 2027.

Seriously we are no chance of getting Tino. His asking price will be over a million and we all know our club has no money and other resources to get Tino. So not sure why media and maybe managers keep tying Tino with Dragons.

Lets accept it we are owned by "Win and St George League" (a regional old media TV station and a leagues club). A throwback to 70th and 80th. Lets look mat our competitors

Donkeys are owned by News Corp and publicly traded in ASX.
Melbourne Storm owned by private Equity

Roosters - major owner Nick Politis who is in automotive industry

This structure needs change for Dragons to be successful.

Maybe in the first instance we can follow Shark's model. In Shark's model it is the football club that owns leagues club (ie., opposite of our structure) or benevolent businessmen come around and run the business with a passion.

We have money, we have plenty of salary cap space to get Tino if he wants to come..
Follow the sharks model, is that the model where you are going bankrupt, have no league club..

It's the TPAs that will decide where Tino plays. We are useless in the TPA world and this is the reason we keep missing the big names. It's not Wollongong, it's not our lack of success, it's not having two home grounds......it is that we are fxcking hopeless at fostering the necessary networks to facilitate TPAs. Simples.

As the Marquee Players available are dropping off the vine as we close in on Nov 1 i feel the only worth while players available that we are any hope of landing are ;
Tyrone Wishart ,Rueben Garrick ..Tannah Boyd , Griffin Neam , WIll Broadrick
Campbell likely to stay Titans
Tino to the Storm
AJ Titans
We desperately need a 7 with a kicking game , thus Boyd till Reed is ready
Neam is a no nonsense prop poorly used by the Cows
Both wingers would be handy acquisitions ,
Landing any 3 of these would be a major step forward and fill deficincies heading forward

Harris Tevita is far better than Boyd, surprised he hasn't been looked at. Contracted to 26 but considering the halves the Wahs have on board could be a chance if we get our act together.

We will go extremely hard for Tino but if we don't get him it'll be a massive loss since we have failed in signing a marquee prop and Flanagan has openly said we need a marquee prop. If we somehow get Tino i believe other targets we go for will most likely come but if we don't get him we'll have to overpay others to come. Tino is a huge priority and Dragons must somehow make him sign.

We have no marquee players whereas, other clubs have several. Look at our backs, halves and forwards, none over 1m. All clubs receive the same funding from the NRL each year.

Our club has the money and space within the to 30. Tino is exactly the marquee prop we need. Throw the kitchen sink at him.
