I remain hopeful until we receive official word to the contrary. Its all anyone has. But we all know how this story goes

I dont think souths need to match it, just be close, an extra $100k from us, won't make a difference, he would sacrifice that and stay, the real advantage we have is the extra year, as far as im aware we have offered 5 years, Parra and Souths 4 years..Everything I’ve read points to South’s matching the other $1m a season offers from parra and us. The stories suggest it’s their final offer, they can’t go any higher. We know for a fact the dragons have cap space and could potentially improve their offer and blow souths away. So we’re definitely still in this. Let’s see how it plays out. At the end of the day if KK decides to stay then so be it. Of all the top forwards available this guy is probably the most realistic target for us so I’m pleased we’re having such a good crack.
At this stage, I'd do to 1.2m for 5 yeaars with 200k being a TPA.Most top teams has a elite or close to it front rower. Keon is not elite yet but he has only had 1 year in the front row. The salary cap is always increasing and $1mil players are more frequent.
I may be shot down but I would go to $1.1 mil for 3yrs and $ 1.2 mil for 2yrs
Total $5.7 mil 5yrs deal.
You have noticed ! It’s like a meeting of old cranky men’s association on here sometimes.Speak for yourself mate. This “we all know” stuff doesn’t reflect my thoughts. I’ll stay positive and optimistic until I hear otherwise. So many glass half empty people here.
Why just sign a player for the sake of a signing,I have no problem with waiting for the right players to be signed.
Perhaps the fact that he may prefer Bennett as a coach may also come into his final decision ? $5 million is quite a decent amount and I don’t believe there is any reason to increase our offer .I dont think souths need to match it, just be close, an extra $100k from us, won't make a difference, he would sacrifice that and stay, the real advantage we have is the extra year, as far as im aware we have offered 5 years, Parra and Souths 4 years..
Spending the club’s money as if it’s going out of fashion ! While you are at it , you can throw a hundred grand my way .Make it 200 then

It's not the club's money, it's NRL salary cap and you must spend it.Spending the club’s money as if it’s going out of fashion ! While you are at it , throw a hundred grand my way .![]()
I thought about this as well Gareth. However he’s 75 years old now and has not had any real success in quite a while. He’d be 80 by the time KK’s contract finishes.Perhaps the fact that he may prefer Bennett as a coach may also come into his final decision ? $5 million is quite a decent amount and I don’t believe there is any reason to increase our offer .
A quick phone call to Flanagan with a yes or no will put an end to the matter - preferably by the end of the week will suffice.
He isnt worth it pull the offer he will possibly stay at souths now with 4 years if they have offered a million .
Use the cash to keep J SUA and go all out for Tino and pay extra Tino a much better player long term and leader. Lawrie Gular gone after next season free up cash .
I prefer KK to Tino.If they pulled the offer you’d be the first to criticise the club for not signing any decent players. As for Tino he’s an unrealistic signing for us.
I prefer KK to Tino.
Bring back Woodsy .........I love Tino but I think KK has more upside to his game in the years ahead
