Yes you are right about that The Word , old Father Time has indeed just about caught up with Bennett , however I certainly would not whisper that to him as he is sure to clear out the cobwebs when Saints next face Souths .I thought about this as well Gareth. However he’s 75 years old now and has not had any real success in quite a while. He’d be 80 by the time KK’s contract finishes.
He has been an absolute legend of the game and I love him for what he did for us.
However his time is up as a coach. Time catches up with all of us and coaching young NRL players at 75 doesn’t work. That doesn’t change his legacy. But it’s probably not a draw card anymore.
