Egan also not back until round 10 so he will contribute in back half of the season and probably better in 27 after a full off season. Halangahu looks to have gotten fitter also. Leilua for me just doesn’t get involved enough, could do a lot more.
Depth is finally a good problem to have.

2nd row is really our only position with depth though.. and we have tbh too much of it.. which is why I think we would really like guys like Nick, Jacob and Coutts to play in other positions at some stage.. I mean if they want to find a way onto the 1st grade bench anyway.. they can play 2nd row in NSW Cup sure.

With Egan injured, Leilua might actually walk into that left 2nd row spot.. im expecting a very different player in 2026.. looks super lean and so he will be more involved/energetic for longer.. Egan is obviously the longterm option though.

He will need to toughen up somewhat should the move eventuate - and get that bloody hair of his cut .

I agree. Halangahu and Tonga are the players that will step up in 2026.

KK and T Couchman are likely to be the run-on props, so if anyone must give way for Ryan Couchman is would likely be Kerr. Tonga is a must for the bench in the prop rotation.

If Loko Pasifiki Tonga can crack on this year that would be huge for the club. He's the biggest player in the squad, and with all his junior representative success you would imagine he has the potential to be a superstar.

I'm looking forwardd to having KK take Tonga and our other young forwards under his wing. With his help and on-field example, we may end up with the best forward pack in the competition.

I think he may have been part of the reason that the club held off from extending Latu,waiting to see how he progressed & was probably a lot cheaper too.

Whichever position he ends up playing he’ll be important for us. Him and Hamish Stewart were the ones that got the slightly longer contracts than the other juniors I think? They look like the two best to me. The other juniors could also go well but haven’t shown quite as much potential yet, but it’s very early days for all of them and they all develop at different rates. I genuinely hope they all make it.
