Zac only left Saints because he had another club lined up as Parra were talking to him before Flanno came on board. Simple as that, if no club approach's him there are no dramas. Flanno improved Zac and thought that would be enough to keep him but unfortunately it appears the decision to join is managers ex-club Parra was done. credit to Flanno and Lomax to still have a professional relationship and put the club and fans first. Flanno improve Zac's game and not benched him all year, and Zac performed the way he did as he could easily have kicked stones but instead had one of his best seasons and made the rep teams.

1 draw card that would have made Zac leave for Parra would have been to play centre you would think seeing how much he hated the wing apparently and that did not happen, instead supercoach Ryles played him where the previous coach played him (masterstroke), so they failed to deliver and did not really keep their side of the bargain. Did Lomax improve at Parra? Not at all.

Being approached by another NRL club during your contract is not allowed unless you have 12 months left and Zac did not have 12 months left. Parra should have been fined but the NRL did not care just like they did not with Galvin. 1 rule for some other rules for others. It's funny how teams that get away with it also get the player on cheaper rates. Surely that is no coincidence. Both Zac and Galvin gone to the scum clubs for less when they should not have been allowed at all based on NRL rules.

There is no rule against a player leaving the NRL to join a new franchise because that would not have existed at the time R360 came out. Parra crying that they should be compensated is disgraceful and wreaks of arrogance. When you tempt players to break contracts and they do, you should know the risk you will have that they will probably do the same as they show that loyalty is not their strong point.

Back to rumours, I feel Saints are waiting on a big gun to fall out of favour with a club and pounce as there is nobody out there that fits their criteria. They are getting picky now which is good to see after the Kolomatangi business. Talking to Bula and not Averillo is also a good sign. If Averillo joins it will be his 3rd club. Murray is injured, wait and see how he backs up. There are plenty of mid-season switches and Saints are looking to be in the box seat when it happens which it will as history shows. Some player will get disgruntled sooner than you think.

You have summed up the hypocrisy well.

Yeah, he didn’t mean to take the whole club out and he offered to fix everything. He couldn’t have done more.

These kinds of charges are why a lot of people don’t trust or respect the cops anymore.

It probably cost more to prosecute him than he did in actual damage.

I’m glad he beat the conviction.

Cops involved were planks.

It ended up in court because a criminal complaint was made by the hotel. If the cops didn't proceed there would have been a complaint against them for failing to take action. It was up to the hotel to either negotiate with Stewart civilly for the damages of proceed criminally. They obviously took the criminal course of action. Don't blame the cops blame the hotel. He didn't beat the conviction but the magistrate dealt with it under section 10 where he was put on a bond and no conviction recorded and rightly so.

You're operating on an entirely different plane of existence. It would help if you got your facts straight before you type this garbage.
Zac asked for a release at least 6 times during his time with us. Parra didn't poach him or break any rules. Zac had been agitating for a release for years - dating back to the McGregor days when he wasn't playing fullback as promised. The move to the wing - a masterstroke by our new coach at the time - was the final straw for "the gifted one" and he wanted a release.
Once sooky Zac tossed his toys out of the cot and got his release, Parra pounced and signed him. Fair play to them.
To accuse Parra of arrogance because Lomax is trying to break a legal agreement he made is so unbelievably stupid I can't even find the words for it. What is so hard for some people to understand here?!?!!?
Zac asks for a release.
Parra agree based on certain terms. Zac agrees to these terms with his fingers crossed behind his back.
Zac now wants to break agreement.
Parra justifiably upset.
This is very simple stuff. Why don't some people get it? Parra are 100% right on this one.

The cops always had the discretion not to prosecute but they did so. That was their decision.

It was rubbish.

No one can force the cops to prosecute, that’s not how it works.

Northies could have sued the kid in civil courts

Cops get complaints about them all the time. Part of the job. Sometimes warranted, sometimes not.

Your last sentence doesn’t make any sense. You don’t get half convicted.

The kid beat the wrap, no criminal record and imho thoroughly deserved.

Thank goodness for courts to keep the planks like these cops in check.

Wasting our taxes like this, cowardly in this instance.

At the end of the day, cops are public servants.

Maybe it was Laundys firing a shot at the raiders but they ran with it. Cops just protecting themselves

Parramatta Eels launch legal action against player Zac Lomax

Mr Beach said Mr Lomax had requested a release to pursue opportunities outside the NRL – namely rugby union – with a condition being he not return to the NRL during his contract period without the club’s consent.

However, things appear to have hit a snag when Mr Lomax then tried to move to rival NRL club Melbourne Storm.
