The Dragons are losing the narrative because of weak leadership and management plus i dare say so many journos and NRL identities want the Dragons to be the next Bluebags!

So IYO having Munster, Hughes and Papps in front of you is equal to having Guler, Kerr & Cake in front of you.

Pezet & Fa'alogo played 1st grade every time an opportunity presented itself and did their apprenticeships under representative players and the watchful eye of Bellamy so chalk and cheese in relation to LPT who has no mentors and a coach who is totally clueless.

I’m guessing the pressure is on the Dragons to be a finals team 2027 and to have a few years there after to be in the hunt for a top4 - u would expect that would be the planning?

2026 FB - Gutho
2027 - Gutho RTS fight it out for FB?
2028 - FB maybe RTS and or Burton

if that was the pathway ie experienced players that can handle finals pressure conditions

The fullback situation is a joke honestly they contract Gutho now look how that is ending he isn’t up to it so what are they thinking sign another 28 year old for 3 years like they haven’t learnt and paying him overs it’s like ground hog day all over again. Yes Burton is 18 in Jan likely hood of him being ready 27 that’s a big ask maybe 28 just see how they fast track him but they won’t need too if they buy a fullback for 3 years

I hate hearing negative comments from our coach, stuff like we cant win the GF, well you just flogged the players during preseason and you are basically telling them you are shit, saying stuff like we have no better players etc, its just all negative to the whole club and fanbase and also bringing up 2016 at every opportunity is f**king annoying.

I feel the same way mate. I backed him early on as I knew he had to build the team he wanted but that team has now proven to be one of if not the worst in our history. Add to that nepotism, unwillingness to promote our juniors, an out dated game plan and putting shit on our juniors by saying they aren’t good enough??? I’m done. I can’t wait to see the back of him

Yes I think a three year deal at $1 million a season is overs for Drinkwater who actually turns 30 in May next year.

Gutho turned 30 the year he got here and now we're regretting that one.

If we can't get Drinkwater on a shorter deal for less or alternatively Bula which I think is pie in the sky at best, Id prefer we either try to find a young fullback either from our system or externally, otherwise remake Val or Atkinson in to a fullback. Val still has speed so not as much of a risk IMHO.

Your right our system has a 17 year old fullback who will be 18 in Jan next year or has great potential but you don’t know what might happen we need a fullback now not next year
