You never once said he SHOULD have been sacked either, champion.

Young is the interim coach, not the full time coach.

So you were expecting an interim was going to come and pull us straight out of the mess that the coach you always defended created?

f**k it must be nice living in fairy land, champion 😂😂😂😂
And btw talau is killing it for cup , why not bring him up . still internal

Here you are on the 4th of April, happy to go back further if you'd like me to?
Show me in that paragraph where I said he should stay!?! I said sacking the coach is wrong! And that’s any coach. Because players need to be help f**king accountable for their f**king shit performances!
happens in every sport coach is the first to go! It’s wrong!
And I said then Dean young isn’t the answer and I still think he isn’t

I have coped over the past 5 weeks mimicking my view of the dragons from the outside. You know - like an out-of-body experience.

It numbs the pain

Like most fans, I’m glad the club finally moved
Shane Flanagan on. Results are nowhere near good enough.

Even though I supported him, he had to go.

But it’s still disappointing to see some 'supporters' celebrating a sacking like we just won a Grand Final.

I'd remind them that we've hit a pretty major low.

I’m also not happy with Dean Young being made the interim coach. It feels like more 'jobs for the boys' from the board. Our defence has been shite under him as an assistant.

I don't see how he is the right person to fix things. Isn't he part of the problem?

But I'm a fair dinkum Dragons fan.
Unlike some, I actually want the team to win every week, no matter the coach.

I’ll give Dean the fair go and the support that the last coach never got from day one. I’m backing the Red V no matter what.

C'mon Dragons.

It's exposed how badly this club is run. No wonder he lasted so long and was allowed to do the amount of damage that he did.
I feel that wincorp were more annoyed at the negative press than about the performance of the club.
Even though us fans are divided we still unite for a common cause.

Nepotism - even the appearance of it - is a negative. I don’t know whether Dean will be a decent coach or not - the records aren’t very positive though. I must say though that he doesn’t shirk a challenge. I suspect nobody else was prepared to take it on. He has a better opportunity to show what he’s capable of (or not) this time.

All we can do is sit back and see if firstly team changes occur and some more juniors get given a chance. If the plodders are moved to the side we might at least have a chance. You only have to make the 8 to have a chance at going further. If the same idiots keep getting selected we’ll know pretty quickly that nothing has changed and we can vent then. But i for one think we should at least give Dean Young a chance before we complain. Remember he’s been dumped in it pretty badly too and has to make some crook decisions- like what to do with Kyle- and very quickly. So lets at least combine and support our famous club with a very awful game to start with. It can only hopefully be up from here

Like a lot of others on here I don’t think Young is up for it. At the very least we can all agree he hasn’t given us much to show he is.

Maybe this will be enough to finally see the end of him and although I’d be happy to see him flourish at another club, the fact is he hasn’t and would likely not even be in the coaching ranks at all if it wasn’t for his dad.

I will also say I’m sad to see Flanagan go but at least he can take solace in the fact that he took Haran with him.

The real question is what does our self appointed expert think is the answer? He spams enough bloody posts that he should at least give us his armchair coaches opinion?

Agreed. I’m not celebrating that Flanno is gone. I was hoping he was the chosen one. Now onto the next coach. Hope he has enough pull to bring in some gun signings instead of Dad’s army.

Anyway coach change is done. And as I’ve said all along, I don’t think there will be many changes to our lineup.
Only one from cup I think COULD be Reed. Will they do that to him on such a big day 0-7. As I coach I wouldn’t but we need to try something.
Other than that I don’t see many players who will come up from cup.

I’ve said for a while our regular is 17 is probably our best . And that’s saying something. Bar few players who should’ve had a crack.

Loko ; Reed ; hanagalu.

Besides those three the rest of cup is young so not sure ANY coach will bring them up as much as we want them to
