i know a lot of you are confused about knock ons after hodgson in origin, but off the forearm (in this case hoffmans) constitutes a knock on into hodges who in turn knocked it back into hoffmans head

it is as clear as anything that both of hodges hands were on top of hoffmans foreman and the only contact made was off hodges hands into hoffmans head which SHOULD BE A TRY.

Last week you got two dodgy decisions, the strip on Bailey, and Hornby's "knock" on off his knee. You scored two tries in the sets of six that followed both decisions. Last week the ref helped you into yesterdays game. What goes around comes around, deal with it.

Broncos were basically gifted a 10 point margin. Yes what goes around comes around but to see a GF decided by just plain awful decisions is very disappointing (especially as it was prime opportunity to grow the game in Victoria).

I'm not a Broncos fan or Melbourne fan, but I thought it was clearly a knock-on. To say Melbourne lost the game because of the ref is just poor. Cna you honestly say that Melbourne outplayed and outmuscled Brisbane? Was they're kicking game better? Defence better?

Yes, they've been a class above every other team this year, but when it mattered they were outplayed in nearly every aspect. Brisbane had the hunger there, you could see it every time the ball hit the ground. Let's not forget Melbourne's crap period where they threw about 4 passes to absolutely no one. Melbourne lost the game for themselves, why should they get help from the ref if they can't even help themselves?

I'm not saying brisbane didn't deserve to win but on any other night of football that would have been given a try without a doubt. I watched the game with a bunch of broncos fans and some of them were even surprised it wasn't given. It was a very, very poor video ref decision and for that to happen in a Grand Final is disgraceful. The broncos could have easily won if the try was still given and all this controversy would not have arisen.

The right team won but it's tarnished their victory.

I dont think thats the point personally. Broncos may have outplayed and outmuscled the Storm (i dont believe thats the case though) but the bottom line is that if the referee was doing his job, the Storm would have won.
