I'm cursing my computer at the moment. Not for the first time through one of my long-winded posts, my computer froze up - damn computer.
I'll give you a short snippet of what I wrote before my crappy computer froze up:
Albert's was all about just catching up to the guy - he just had to run and make one final lunge for the ball-carrier Seers - he had no time to assess how he'd do it, he just ran, tackled and goes down in Knights history as the man that got them to the GF and ultimately the premiership - a wonderful exhibition of tackling prowess.
Sattler could have done three things:
- Missed him, and therefore possibly seen the Roosters run away with the game after leading 12-6.
- Tackled him, but not put him over the sideline - Roosters may have scored amongst the traffic from the next play.
- Tackle him over the sideline which not only disfuses, but gives them the ball back.
He did the third outcome - and it therefore goes down in certainly Grand Final history as a great tackle - a premiership saving tackle. That is how you tackle - and we haven't heard the last of this - we'll have replays and anecdotes from all the people that count next year - they'll probably have flashbacks, much like 1997 GF story-telling. A super tackle, significant in the context of the match.
