For us long suffering Sonics fans this season has been a god send. We should make the playoffs from here!!!!!!

Anyway, since there are 3 known Sonics fans on the forums I figure thats enough to keep this thread going. I'm really hoping Rashard Lewis keeps his form going and averages 20+. He always starts off well and fades somewhat. I was really questioning where the side was headed preseason with him as the second option, but hes really stood up. I hear the Sonics may be in the market for a trade as well, Curry and Antonio Davis for James and Potapenko has been mentioned. Apparently the Bulls are keen to do anything to move Davis' 2 remaining years, and would be keen to acquire James and Davis as their contracts are up at season end. Interesting times indeed!!!!!!

I've got a Payton throwback from 1993, I might sell it though its too big for todays trends. Probably ordering an Allen singlet soonish. Want a Payton one aswell from just before he left Seattle.

Sonics have the Blazers today I believe, should be a good one.

i wouldnt get too excited.........sonics have started great before and have crumbled.
I am not saying they will crumble again, but they wont win 60 games

I'm hoping they get close to 50 wins. I definately am not expecting them to contend. But if they have a 50 win season it will be easier to acquire free agents, realistically they only need a quality scoring big man to contend IMO. Ridnour is a great PG, Allen an awesome SG, Lewis a standard SF, Evans and Fortson make a good PF so all we need is a scoring center.

That was one that got away for the Sonics. Fortson really needs to learn to control his aggression, getting ejected doesn't help the team.

I think i have more chance in seeing Melo lead the league in the assist to turnover ratio .

Same for the Nuggs, you can only listen to one eyed sonics commentators for so long....

Lets just hope we dont fall on our ass at the end of the season...we tend to usually play well in the begining..i know not this good but still.

Potapenko, that guy is complete rubbish..watching rashard lewis early on you knew he was going to be something special as long as he didnt get too arrogant.

When the sonics traded the glove i was so dissapointed..lets hope that rookie pg can fill in (ridnour or something like that).

They got a young Ron Murray and Ray Allen in his prime for Payton and Des Mason. They also got the draft pick that led to picking up Ridnour in the '03 draft. A no brainer in hindsight.

Losing Mason hurt though, he was my favourite player along with Payton. Now let's hope Sonics management wrap up Ray Allen for whatever he wants. He MUST stay in Seattle
