Credit to the first 8 seasons that the show has been able to live so long off the back of them. Last time i saw an episode Marge sounded like a 90 year old woman.

I think Harry Shearer has been the only one to call out just how horrible the show has become. Still doesn't stop him pocketing his million an episode though, good luck to him.

One of the best and funniest shows of all time, that has been dragged on far too long and turned into a steaming pile of horse calling cards (with a nod to H.G. Nelson). First 8 seasons: brilliant, as was the movie (yes, even season 1, despite the crude drawing). Since then, it's been a steady decline.

Futurama is also brilliant, but never had the mass-market appeal of the Simpsons. Too much nerd humour. I'm not sure it was a wise move to bring it back.

I find the newer episodes are great after 3rd or 4th watch. Early on they were instant classics. Other then Halloween or the short story episodes

Congratulations to The Simpsons which just officially completed airing it's 23rd season. Also, for the first time ever, the number of seasons the Simpsons has been running has eclipsed the number of episodes for that particular season ie, Season 23 had a total of 22 episodes.

'The Homer They Fall" & "Homer's Enemy" are my all time favourite episodes..

I agree they've slipped a tad,but i tape the new ones every Wednesday on 11,& still get a laugh..

I've always thought the show ran 2nd to South Park for cutting edge humour though..

I'm sure they've had about 15 Christmas episodes and they have reached summer vacation about 10 times.

Seasons 1-10 would almost be considered the best show ever.

meh, much better than South Park. And South Park can be very good.

This show lost its soul a long time ago.

The fact that nearly every episode from the last 5-6 seasons has to have a celebrity playing themselves just shows how devoid of ideas it has become.

So in the old episodes of the Simpsons, there used to be those old McBaine movie clips. If they are watched in sequence, those McBaine clips actually form a coherent plot.

Lol the picture is so true although it might be unfair to include Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger in there because that episode was still a classic.

The weed episode it pretty good too. There is some good stuff post season 10. It just steadily drops off and by the late teens early 20s it's complete garbage, barely watchable even by regular tv standards.
