Thought he was offside on first watch too.

A bit suss we didn't see as many (any?) replays of that try...

Regardless, it was a bit of a joke that they took away the first Inglis try who at worst was 1cm offside ( from the bad camera angle ), and in line with the kicker from the sideline angle.

Surely there was enough doubt on Inglis being onside to award benefit of the doubt to what was to be an incredible, incredible try.
Nup, offside is offside, 1cm, 1m ...same sh*t mate.
But yeh, lets just make our game an even bigger joke....treat it like u/7s...good work Greggy, heres $5.00

Well hang on mate, Inglis was offside from one camera angle which was the worst angle possible to get a good idea, while the sideline angle showed him to be inline with the kicker. Both camera angles were hardly ideal, but if one says offside, and one says inline/on - which one are you meant to go with?

As far as I'm aware, any doubt goes in favour of the attacking team, and in my opinion, going off BOTH camera angles, there was more than enough doubt for their to be benefit.

The video refs had ONE look at the sideline camera angle - which was the one that showed him to be inline, yet countless looks at the worst camera angle to get a good idea. I mean the NRL doesn't rule on forward passes for that very reason - the camera angle is deceptive. So when you're talking at worst a few cms, then surely that has to qualify for some sort of doubt?

Anyone who watches horse racing would know how deceptive TV camera angles can be to photo finishes which come up with a different result to you think when the photo print is shown.

Perception is everything.

Very dodgy that we weren't at least shown a few replays straight up.

Live on tv I thought Slater was offside but I am yet to see a replay.

Youve said yourself you thought he was offside....Ive seen dozens upon dozens of tries that were a LOT more doubtful than that...emotion is carrying you away, as it did the commentators...coz lets be honest, it was nothing special really, Geyer a lucky bat back, and the grubby winger whos name escapes me the same..lots of fluke and offside too yet rabs and co jerking emselves sillyover it...

Watching it over here in NZ I saw one replay and was certain from it that Slatter was offside. Odd it was referred to upstairs.

Feel fair gutted for Bennett though.

Well if we are going to moan about tries why not bring up the boyd try...
Well when hunt passed the ball he was behind the line and when boyd caught the ball he was infront of the line i would call that a forward pass...
But hey who cares the touch judges are the most useless individuals on the field who miss a million forward passes a week... Does anyone actually have an idea of what they get payed because whatever it is well its great pay for running up and down the field doing nothing all game

Clear you dont have any idea of the rules, if its out of the hands back and it floats forward, its not forward

I thought the Broncos let it slip. They didn't stop trying, but after Lima was sent to the bin and they opened up the 8 point gap they stopped playing football and that allowed the Storm to compress their defence, grind them down and put on the big gang tackles that were able to dislodge the ball for their final attacking raids. Broncos shut up shop and that played right into Melbourne's hands, even if the Storm did leave it until the last moments to make them pay.

I felt dirty supporting the storm but couldn't help it, the way they rallied when down to 12-men was awesome.

My thoughts exactly.

Glad you brought that up

It only flaots forward if there is momentum - cutie was probing sideways when he threw that pass. UN less therewas a sudden tornado at Suncorp....FORWARD!!!

The Inglis miracle try was OK, too.

And Slater was onside.

Can't. All the articles will be about the Broncos after party.

Lock up your wives/daughters..If Bris can get up to the reported trouble when they are still in the comp, imagine what Mad Monday will be like.

The refs need to start penalising the blockers when teams are bombing on attack...both the Warriors and Broncos set up blockers within seconds of the kick going up and did not bother to even contest the ball.

Very true, a number of times a Brisbane player would move in to a position to contest the ball, but then turn away and shield the contest.:?

Blockers are fine as long as they don't instigate the contact or drop their shoulder into players. I think it's a good thing for the game to reduce the amount of lottery tries from bombs.
