In a country of 20million where Football is not even the no.1 code to beat a country like Japan with their population, wc experience and money they spend on the sport. You cannot underestimate the acheivement. Its phenominal.

Hiddink said when he took over the team that it would take a miracle to even qualify for the wc, and not only have we qualified we are sitting on top of our group infront of the world champions, asian champions and one of the best sides in europe. We go into the game against Brazil with nothing to prove, 3 points in the bank and absoluetly no pressure. Can anyone beleive we actually have a chance to top this group.

You have to also remember that Hiddink was only a part time coach and transformed this side in a matter of months.
He took a risk and started a whole new revolution that went away from the old 4-4-2.


The good thing is that the Asian Qualifiers and Championships are coming up, this will just give a lot more exposure and will only help attract more $$$$ into the game. Especially since from now on, we will be playing regualr football into Asia, a market with Billions of people=$$$$$$$$$
