FOP as i am after watching my talk-it-up Cowboys surrender as meekly as I expected them to the Roosters, I have to raise this.
Thought about leaving it until tomorrow when I'll be sober but nah
Played for many years as a "spine" specialist, it wasn't called that when I played, I later reffed.
Reckon I've identified a new trend in the game which I'm calling the soft flop.
As a former ref, I've been calling for years for the game to get tougher on flops used to slow the ruck down.
I never envisaged the 6tg rule which I think is great but teams are now using the soft flop where players come in late, lean on their teammates, who have completed the tackle, to slow the ruck down.
Every team does it, the refs and the NRL have got to get onto it as the next step.
