The state of English Rugby League

I can only imagine the fine spirit that you would have had the boot been on the other foot. Still, if you believe the rest of the world is bias, that is up to you.

This is not entirely negative. The comparison to WWE may seem perjorative, but that is a wealthy sport with a good spread. Fixing the right results has an upside.

Furthermore, once the RFL accepted the conditions, which looked very dodgy from the start, there is little point in complaining afterwards. There is even less point in pretending it did not happen to equate whinging with not playing make-believe is infantile. However, if you accept playing with clipped cards, you have to just do your best to win with those clipped cards.

From an ARL point of view, that was the most crucial game in the Four Nations. Getting Australia in the final was crucial to the success as they saw it. It may be the only game that is necessary to so heavily diddle.

I think you would be better suited posting this to the david icke forums.

With the topic as ARL = Australian Reptilian League.

Or maybe Australia has superior quality players such as Greg Inglis, Cameron Smith and Michael Jennings.

Steve your comments are really poor and really show up as a sore loser rather than looking at the game objectively. You may not live in England but you are from there so to suggest any non allegiance is simply not true.

If you feel some decisions did not go England's way then nearly every game would be considered a fixed.

Again what happens if England makes the final as from what you are saying above it is all about a NZ v Kangaroos game. Will you final accept that you are wrong?

To correct you, I did not say I have no allegiance to England. However, all the Scandinavians who have ventured into this debate have also been dismissed as one-eyed poms.

The game has already happened. I predicted how it and the officiating would go with unerring accuracy. What happens in the future will not affect what I think happened in the past. However, I would be very surprised if Australia are not in the final. The result of the England Australia game was crucial for the success (in the ARL eyes) of the Four Nations.

Where do you live?
How many people have you spoken with?
And do the people you have spoken with actually know the rules of the game.

I am an Aussie, I thought it was a try. But there is no way in hell it was fixed. Go and put your tinefoil hat on.

since when has it been possible to ground the footy by brushing your little finger down one side of it? Physical impossibility I'd say. A knock forward all the time!!

The game wasn't fixed but the Kangaroos admin and ARL in its various forms over the years have a long history of stacking the game in our favour. Which is pathetic, since results would suggest we don't really need it.

And we have dickhead fans who are arrogant in victory despite this - one of many reasons why I haven't cheered the Kangaroos in years.

Here's hoping for an England v NZ final and a long needed attitude change.

I haven't noted ockers being especially arrogant in victory. Quite the opposite in fact. There's a difference between being arrogant and calling BS when you see it. On the other hands Poms and kiwis are pretty obnoxious, whether they win or not!!!

Firstly, that type of thing has been awarded before.
Secondly, I can understand why they didnt call it, it was 50 - 50.
Thirdly, I am trying to point out that Steve is a dipshyt for thinking it was rigged.

To answer the question the same place they've been for twenty years. They are unable to penetrate Australian and now New Zealand defence when they have to, not because they don't have the attacking ability but because the NRL is a tighter defensive game. It's the same reason that they struggle to keep Aus and NZ from scoring at critical moments.

I genuinely think they don't have the ability.
They match it and even beat Australia and NZ in a couple of positions but across the park they just don't have a strong enough side.
They are also weaker mentally, they can't handle pressure situations.

Just seen the reply again. I think its a try

I think the confusion over that try, which was perhaps a try in the NRL, is over the rules. Tests are played under international rules , a try is scored if there os downward pressure by a hand on a ball on the ground, and the NRL play under modified rules and issue interpretations as they see fit and at times this year any brushing of the ball with a little finger of a grounded ball was a try..not that it ever should be if we dont want endless debate and frustration.

Yeah the reply i saw looked like the finger was bent back as the hand went down, meaning there was some downward pressure.
