I watched the first ep. I don't know if it's intentional or not but the production just seems shoddy.

.....and I can't get used to Corey Stoll with hair.

Premise, horror elements and the look of the show are great.

Acting and dialogue are terrible.

One of my mates keeps suggesting I watch it, but I didn't even make it through episode one before I was rolling my eyes at the tacky dialogue and poor acting.

The acting is shite. F is just about the most unsympathetic male lead I've ever seen. It's not even funny. The man is just a moralizing hypocritical merkin.

Will continue to watch it because I'm sick in the head.

I haven't read the comics but I am hopeful this girl/boy becomes somebody's lunch... his/her abysmal acting has almost ruined the last two episodes of what is otherwise a pretty fun vampire hunting caper...

They were plugging the hell outta this when I was in the states and I thought it looked great. A bit disappointing to hear its not much chop from punters in here!

It's genuinely very creepy (they do a great job with the Vampires - which have a unique twist compared with other, more familiar Vampire lore - as you may expect from anything involving Guillermo del Toro) and it moves along at a cracking pace and deals well with the mix of flashbacks and present day. It's just let down by some of the acting (in particular the kid who has the acting chops of a kid in a KFC commercial), and the image of New York descending into Vampire apocalypse doesn't seem that well realised... Having said this, I'm still watching.

Seems okay so far, only 4 eps in
Nothing else to watch for the rest of the week so I'll finish season 1
