The strapping on the back of players legs?

Anyone know what they are? Looks like a "Y" on the back of some players legs. Quite a few Parramatta players have them, don't think any of our players have them but pretty widespread through the NRL.

Not really the tape is supposed to stop the leg extending past the point a hamstring tears.

Its more so your hamstring muscles don't move around sideways while running.

Kinesio tape, from Kinesiology which is an offshoot of Chiropracty

Um, this isn't related to the Japanese art of laying hands and manipulating energy flows, by chance ?

I forget that dammed 'name' but was it this or some other similar-sounding name ?

A little. There is reference to the meridiens of Qi flow as in accupunture/pressure. One of the disciplines(?)/varieties(?) of kinesiology is 'Touch for Health'. (which sounds interesting :D)
