Im with you Local, Simmons defence is already proven to be a little weak and suciptible. With the addition of McGoldrick, who is not much better, and the fact that we are playing the roosters is very, very scarey.. Hopefully it wont be the case, but I feel that there is at least 12 points down that side.

Perhaps Stuey is throwing in our two weakest defenders so the chooks put all their attention into targeting this side and come game time he might mix it up.. Something to think about.
How true is this. I'd like to see how many tries have come against us down Simmonds side and what does Stuey do, oh yes bring in another non tackler, Hodges is gonna kill us and thank god walker's not playing. Why oh why is Kent not there at least he tackles them front on, not let them run around him.

Against Melbourne, who was defending inside Bailey? Lock or 5/8.
From memory our lock generally defends inside left centre and the 5/8 inside Vagana.

I think that sort of changes.
appears they go with the modern tactic of defending in groups of 3 or 4.
They all seem very concerned about what side of the ruck they defend etc. when running into position.

Looks like an ok side listed to play. I hope that these fairly major changes in moving Hilder, Bailey and Gallen and adding McGoldrick dont have a change for the worse to our form. In our recent wins the team was prity much the same, it now has some changes, the question is, will it remain successful?

if i have to watch hodges bag a double

The only thing Hodges will be bagging is a few sausage rolls and a bucket of chips after the game. That fat sh*t won't to bugger all on Saturday night. He's done nothing all year.

You watch on saturday. The fat turd will be out bludging doing nothing or running sideways for most of the game. he's done it all year, so this week wont be any different.

I reckon the danger man will be Wing. This is his second game back from injury, he'll be fresh and have no niggle and he will be looking for a big one.

The only prob I have with McGoldrick is that he doesnt get inot it enough. He needs to put hes head down, and I wont be happy till he has blood and dirt on his shirt.

Raper is not stupid. There's no way McGoldrick and Simmo will be defending next to each for a good while. I expect Gallen will go the centres, Hilder to 5/8 and Gibson to Hooker.

At a pinch maybe Merritt and Simmons will swap sides, but option A is far more likely.

I think we will see changes before Saturday but I am willing to give McGoldrick another chance. Good luck Zeus!

It could go either way really with McGoldrick. This is his chance to step up. I really like the fact that he is passionate about winning. When we were struggling earlier on he was the only one who seemed to care whether we won or lost. Hopefully the stint in PL has given him some confidence.

I also have it on very good authority that he hates the chooks. A couple of years ago he was carving em up in PL and kept abusing their trainer. For what reason? I dunno. But I like abuse.Especially of the chooks.

It's no secret that Bails has been screaming to get back in with the pigs. I think Raper would prefer a traditional centre as well.

The problem I have with Bailey at lock is that it is a very different style to what he has been playing. He has either been running wide as a second rower or in the centres. Lock is different and he doesn't represent a true lock to me. I hope he can prove me wrong and be the first man chasing a kick or the first man back after an opposition kick to take a hit up. I think we have picked 3 second rowers.

McGolderick really has an opportunity this week. I hope ET has been in his ear all week and watching tape after tape of Cross and Hodges with him.

I think Peachey needs to have his best game this year if we are to win.

Simmonds and Mc Goldie ! Very inviting for the chooks! Sort of showing them the door . Will Raper have a tactic or is he showing his faith ? I would love to see Gallen run at the defence then an outside ball to Vagana quick to Merritt who wrongsteps Byrne to score, mmmmmmm .

I think Rapeshas doneexactly what was required with Goldie & the team.
Goldy had to go, to help steady the ship & practive a few minor things. It has been good for the team, his game & his confidence I would expect.
Now that we are turning away from the wind, Goldie hashischance to now step in and be the cure for a serious problem we have.
who knows, he could even be a game breaker.
My theory is this. He backs himself over the other centres , letting them get outside him & then running them down, which he has done 100%. so if he can do that, perhaps with theteam going better, he can get on theoutside of them in attack & develop a combo with a winger.
I wouldlike to see him get some uninterrupted ball, so stay the f**k out of his way forwards.

Time for Bailey to step up this week and tighten up the fringes of the ruck.
If he does the job(defence and attack) with Noddy and Gallen* against Fittler,Finch and Ricketson we will win.

*It may be Gallen, may be Peachey, maybe Hilder.
