We can speculate about changes and then add the official team to this thread tomorrow, when the team is named.

Must win game.

Penrith coming off the bye and prior to that a win over Manly. Will be missing Lewis and Grant.

1- Locke
2- Fisiiahi (this won't happen. It will be Tupou)
3- Henry
4- Hurrell
5- Vatuvei
6- Maloney
7- Johnson
8- Packer
9- Mara (play more minutes)
10- Matulino
11- Brown
12- Mannering
13- Taylor

Res- Lillyman, Mateo, Lousi, Rapira/Rapira or Ta'ai

Apparently Sam Rapira is out for possibly the remainder of the season, would like to see Steve have a go though.

Drop Tupou why? I'd drop Manu before him...

1 Locke
2 Tupou
3 Hurrell
4 Henry
5 Whatever Vulcans winger is going the best
6 Maloney
7 Johnson
8 Package
9 Mara
10 Matulino
11 Mannering
12 Taylor
13 Mateo

14 Godinet (as a hooker)
15 Brown (as a second rower)
16 Lousi (as a prop)
17 Lillyman

I just don't think Tupou offers much. We've seen it. I would much rather see what Fisiiahi has out there, one way or the other.

Fair enough man, I think Fish will be out for a week or two, but hopefully he gets a run there.

If Inu was still here, I'd want him playing on Tupou's wing.

It's been a really unlucky couple of seasons for Sam Rapira, was close to becoming one of the better props going round but injuries have really ruined his last couple of seasons.

Topou is safe, completes his tackles and makes decent metres. Until a better winger comes up he should remain in his place, that includes Fish who is nothing but a let down so far.

Why is Tupou considered safe anyway? Makes plenty of bad defensive decisions and is bad under the high ball, he is lucky that he doesn't get targeted with it though because of the bloke on the other wing.

I never said drop him, I'm just wondering how he got this reputation as a safe winger. They sent the guy who should be playing in front of Tupou or Henry to the Bulldogs.

As far as "safety" goes, I wouldn't rate Inu over Tupou for handling, missed tackles or brain explosions. However, Inu clearly has the greater talent.

If anything its because all Tupou does is tuck it under the wing and take hitups. Offers little else. Inu is without a doubt better in pretty much every aspect as a winger than Tupou bar maybe dummy half running. If anything you would have Inu in the team currently over Tupou just because Inu will create tries off kicks which is a large part of the attack needed, and something Tupou does not offer at all. Henry and Tupou are very boring outside backs really. Could accept that if the Warriors were defensively solid and won grind out low scoring games.

If you wanna drop Tupou you might as well drop Vatuvei or move him to the pack, he isn't going any better as a winger.

Sucks for Rapira, whats the diagnosis? How long till Friend comes back? Mara has been good, if not great, but Brown....jeez, we look like a different side when he's on, and not for the better.

Anyway, as per the thread, I'm assuming we'll see Locke back, and either Steve Rapira in for Sam, or Lousi back to prop and Steve Rapira to second row. With Ta'ai going at the end of the year I don't think he'll be seeing much game time unless there's another injury or two.

Edit: Just saw Rapira's injury is a torn tricep, out for at least 3 months =(

Drop Billy ?

good grief....

Good grief is right....i wish our other winger could finish as well as Tupou has this year, or have a low error count like Tupou, or defend
as well as Tupou......Vatuvei may make a few more meters from hit-ups, but i would give them up in an instant for a winger who only
made 9 errors this season compared to 26.

Anyone bothering to go to a wind swept, bleak Penrith late on Monday afternoon? The public holiday has swayed me, not much else to do. Got stay loyal I suppose.

If anyone wants to catch up I'll be the one in the grey/black/white Warriors scarf.
