It was worth taking some pictures, despite our pathetic, season-ending, performance (losing 42-6) which didn't do the occasion justice. There's a 'five images only' limit on our forum posts, so I have to break this post up into five parts.

So, for posterity, here goes...Warriors at the famous SCG, part one:

I wore this. It was quite a shock actually, to see the SFS next door, now a pile of rubble. I was giving this to our forum member, Beave, for his games-room but then I remembered his side lost that year to the Bulldogs.

Where the smart fans were, in the warm sun, as it was freezing over on the other side. The faithful Warrior Nation crew are in that area. As are the Roosters twenty or so fans.

Jazz ready for a play-the-ball. Lisone at first receiver looking keen, after coming on after the Beale injury. Chanel in the centres, not looking as sure of himself.

Some strong defence, from Lisone and Paasi. Blair and Chanel race back into the line, looking like Green's barked instructions to do so.

Big Sam 'gassed' after fifteen minutes...

I think photo 3. Chanel "not so sure of himself" is just Chanel " calculating the odds of the ball getting any further than Jazz & Sam".

I actually have a couple of those caps mate, I was at that game

That's good. That was the final year of the 'Winfield Cup' I think. It was the 'Optus Cup' after that.

I remember supporting Manly in the GF in '95 & '96. It was a surprise you lost the first one, no? You had a great team. It was a shame for Ian Roberts in particular, who went to the Cowboys in '96, a club that went nowhere for years.

I recall Ridge being heavily concussion the week before the '96 decider but then I knew he'd play the following week. I'm not sure he'd have got the thumbs up to play in this day and age. Craig Innes was a great league-convert, ay?

I love '90s footy.

Yeah won 22 games and lost 3 in 95 but the 3rd one was the big one. Bit of controversy with 1 of their tries coming on the 7th tackle and another from a blatant forward pass, and later on the Dogs boss admitted cheating the cap to get Rod Silva on board

Innes was quality, that 96 team was immense, gave away 8.6pts a game over the entire season
