Isn't maloney getting on a bit? A little hesitant signing old halves. Gun shy from what we've got now.

He is 28 but is a quantum upgrade on robbo and barba

That being said I'd be looking at the 20's comp and build from there.

If Barba had some speed left or confidence i would say try it but the giuy is shot, he cant pass, has no speed in even playing the ball, and lacks heart.

There was incident last week the Dragons no try, before the try we scored, and how slow Barba was to get across, he could have made more ground by diving at the ball but seemed non plus, the guy is not interested and should not see FG again till he improves out of sight

Precisely why you get him away from fullback.

he is f**ked in the head football wise. shot duck.

But he ain't useless - the guy was the best player in the comp 3 years ago. Terrorised defences.

But he is standing back by himself at one and dreading the play coming at him.

Get him one pass of the ruck - he is the game and that's what build confidence. having the ball in your hands.

He can't pass??..that's wrong.

Thats ok, thought he was 30 this year for some reason. Probably worth a 2/3 year contract if there's no talent in the 20's worthy of a start.

He was not suited to 5/8th, so put him as half? Dumb idea - he will not get his confidence back trying to be a playmaker.

Leave him at the back where familiarity will help him regain confidence.

I still think he has plenty to offer....when he's fit.

I think Barba is still quick too. Not as fast as he was, but still no slouch.

Disagree.used to be a huge Barba fan. Must have watched nearly all his games for the Broncs on Fox. Hoped to see him repeat his Doggies form. Barely remember a line break. Certainly not one which led to him running away. Even in the clear he got caught a lot. If you want the
Old Ben Barba look at Milford. More similar.

Contrary to what is said , I think he looks more solid. Not saying fat but given he is supposed to be fitted , why no breaks. That hasn't been coached out of him. Just blood speed due to an op. Even said so himself.

No worse than having TC. He copped another 6-8 week injury in SuperLeague.

Barba should be halfback.
Force him to have the ball in his hands.

At last he has some pace rather than none at all. At least he attempts to be elusive rather than a tacking bag.

See hunt running at the line last night. Everything done at full pace. Manlys line constantly on the back foot.

Whoever we put their it ain't about defence.

Saints put half a dozen tries on us last week and we couldnt get one without the refs help.

We ain't looking for a 7 that can tackle.

I agree , Barba was brought in to play in the halves (TC's replacement) , tell him he's got the rest of the year there , sink or swim. He hasn't played any better than Gordon or Val at FB.

Sounds good

I'm sure footy with Flano or whatever its called is not exactly probing
Not that I have even listened to it.
