The Worst Premiers Ever?

well, staitsitically.

It only took a year for Tigers to relinquish the ignominious distinction of being the premiers to have lost the most no. of games during the season.

Sorry to piss on the parade, but long live mediocrity! Shane Perry is a grand final winner...

Anyway, better side tonight won despite what Melbourne fans might avow to the contrary. Congrats Broncos!!!! Pretty good game to boot as well.

It's a sign of the closeness of the competition, which is a good thing. BUT I think the level of professionalism in the game these days means that teams now on average are probably better than they were 10 or 20 years ago. So for that reason I certainly don't think they're the worst premiers ever.

I agree in terms of win/losses we had no right to win this grand final. But it just shows that we prepared ourselves for the back half, something we hadn't done for years.

I'll happily be the worst premiers of all time, there's 14 other teams tonight that'd be cueing up for the honour.

Shane Perry premiership winning halfback. This side will struggle to make next yr's 8. A very ordinary side but suited by the way the NRL wanted a back to 1982 year with slow play the balls as opposed to the free flowing stuff we watched last season

At least the Tigers dominated the finals and left no doubt they were the best team come finals time. I still think Melbourne were probably the best but the Broncos have the trophey .. at least Broncos have a heap of fans who will appreciate it.

Good morale boost for the young kiddies playing the sport out there. If you have no talent and cant play for s%it dont despair. With the salary cap in place hopefully you will only cost teams 10 bucks a year and they will drag you along for a win ffs. Even my team won a GF last year with the worst winger in history.

history is littered with runnaway minor premiers losing.

in a decade or two people will see brisbane in the record books & probably forget who they beat.

i honestly thought Perry was a gap filler for the halfback possie, but he showed today, whilst he will never be the most dominate player he does enough... that was an outstanding performance from him.

Perry's kicking game was great tonight. He'll still go down as probably the worst premiership halfback of all time but all of us Broncos fans that said we'd never said we'd win without a decent halfback were dead wrong and it's never felt so damned good to be wrong.

Hey, I'm a Tigers supporter so I know what its like. No shame at all. This Brisbane team weren't as ascendant as previous Brisbane premiership teams, although they were bloody gutsy and had a brilliant defence. A well deserved victory.

BTW a question to all Brisbane supporters, when you have won 6 grandfinals, presumably in the space of your lifetime, does it just become routine? One victory in 40 years is sweet for me. In fact, anymore and you are just rubbing it in for poor Sharks fans.

bullsh*t.

Winning the comp is about winning the big matches. Brisbane did that. Simple as that imo.

i wouldnt say that.

most likely the bulldogs in 2004

Do you spend as much time worrying about your own club as much as you do The Bulldogs?

How about getting over hatred, it will only make you a bitter twisted person.......... oh wait......
