Its 10 years of this great club and i would like to have a recap of what people think are the worst to to have been signed by the West Tigers and please not John Morris in there for what we payed for him and the amount of time on the field i think we have had worst players on more money but tell me what you think

Number ONE.. Ryan O Hara ....Reason we payed huge money for him i think $350k and was most of the time on the side line and when he did play did not offer that much for the money

Number TWO..Sam Harris i recall he was on 220k had heaps of tanlent but very very very lazy and Blocker said when he left Manly was thankfully to get rid of him just to bad he went to Tigers

Number Three....Jamaal Lolesi he was on 190k did not rate him that high and only scored one try in about 26 games for the Tigers and alot of time on the wing ...

Thanks and please tell me what you think

Too tired to write reasons and not necessarily signings, but players who have been with the club who I think they didn't need. (I have a lot of Tiger supporting mates).

1) Shannon McDonnell.
2) Daniel Fitzhenry
3) And hate to go against your wishes but John Morris.

Jared McCracken was a good player but Tigers didn't get their monies worth either. He got injured and finished up his time too quickly unfortunatley.

I'd love you know where you got your figures from.

No way O'Hara was on anywhere near that much. No way he's been our worst signing either.

Lolesi spent a lot of time at lock as well. He was nothing flash, but not one of our worst buys.

How about:

Nick Younquest?
Nick Graham?
Matt Rieck?
Jason Moodie? (2nd time round)
Owen Craigie?
Terry Hill?
Steven Crouch?
Lee Murphy?
Trent Runciman?

The worst signings would be some of our best players from the early years. If the reports of the size of our cap are true, its hard to believe the money Hill, Hoppa, Field, McCracken etc would have been on.

We had some absolute niff nuffs along the way though.

I wouldn't rate Terry Hill as one of our worst buys. He may have been overpriced, but he had ticker and aggression, moreso than anyone else who's been at the club. Made a good transition to Lock imo. In saying that, he was nowhere the player he used to be, which wasn't that much anyway.

I would vote for Mathew Head, not that he was a bad player but the fact we folked out money on someone that was never really used.

We've had plenty of average players run around for us, but certainly a couple of the "big name" signings from the 2005 crop are up there, being O'Hara & Harris. Mainly because they were paraded about as marquee signings but they delivered nothing and in fact probably set us back.

O'Hara just because he played, what, 25-30 games for us in three years, presumably on decent coin. I don't know what his salary was, but anything over $150,000 was so egregiously overpaid it isn't funny.

Harris because he made Ben Teo look like Gordon Tallis. I hated that signing when it was announced, I hated it more when he played for us and I still hate it several years on. A lazy cat if there ever was one.

O'Hara was the worst, imo, for the massive chunk of salary cap he took up while doing stuff all.

O'Hara, Harris and Graham

Lolesi was an alright player, we just used him the wrong way, why did we buy him to play lock?

Lolesi was a great player, we just used him like a pile of sh*t, hence why he scored 70 tries in like 120 games before he came here.

Reynolds was alright, he was up their with Penriths top point scorers in a game. Bad luck for him.

My complaint about our recruitment isnt about the players we have signed, mainly about the players we have missed out on

It has to be back in the early days... if you're going on ability, there's plenty of worse players than the '06 signings, by far. And value for money, well the initial lot were robbing us, despite having good ability.
