Hey all. Happy Holidays.

Anyway, I was interested in getting some new music, so I went to www.roadrunnerrecords.com and checked out their artists link.

I alreaday had a few of the albums (like Ill Nino and Soulfly and Stone Sour). But I saw a band called Theory of a Deadman.

Now, the way I usually do things is I download a song or two to get the feel for them and then buy their album. I downloaded "Santa Monica" and "Hello Lonely".

Now my question is this - I was always under the impression that Road Runner Records signed 'metal' or hard rock acts. And yet both these songs are more melodic. I'm not complaining - I like them.

But I was wondering - people who know more about them...Are they more like that style, or heavier? Because I like those two songs, truth be told.

Thanks for all help.

Nickelback are signed to Roadrunner and I'd put them on about the same level of 'heaviness' as them, Theory of a deadman are actually signed to the 604 Records label that Chad Kroeger started.

Although it's crappy qaulity you can use Amazon to listen to about 30secs of any song for most cd's they have in stock to get a better idea of what a band is like.
