There is no doubt

After watching the game on Sunday I have no doubt the boys will finish in the top eight, as I have said all along. And yes there are some small things that they can improve on and when they do I think they will be a hard team to beat.

Love your positivity! We looked sharp in attack, albiet against the tigers, its something that hopefully will only get better... our defence got better as the game went along and they were awarded 2 iffy tries. We cant start like that again though, a good team probably would've went on with it. But I say they positives out weigh the bad!

i am not betting the house based on an impressive second half against a injury plagued, boil ridden, flea bitten tigers team..
they really had us on the back foot the first 30 mins after yet another sluggish opening...

i will assess in about 5 weeks.

Exactly, this weeks game will give us an idea where we are at.A wounded Warriors looking to bounce back in front of their fans, they'll be fired up you would think.

Definitely promising signs, but the big need is for consistency. Let's see how the next few weeks go

I think there is plenty of doubt.
Personally I had us toward the back of a pack of around ten teams fighting for 6-7-&-8 but now I reckon we are a much better chance than most.
We have direction in the halves and some resolve and spirit in the team. We also have some resemblence of discipline.
That's a lot more than many other teams fighting for those last 3 spots in the 8 have.

The question is if we have consistency. It was our achilles heel under Brown.
Turning that around won us a premiership.

Oh and don't forget we have a wild and woolly Duges to come back...

stay positive mate, better than walking around like a negative worrywart.

And much better than the constant deathriding we get around here from keyboard warriors who have no idea what is going on but are absolutely certain that they are the fount of all knowledge.

Ha hah. Good post. Just hope we can keep going forward, otherwise the gremlins will return.

Someone (don't know who) a number of years ago (don't know when) created a saying that had something to do with swallows (the feathered variety) and summer.

There's nothing wrong with being positive but that particular saying is applicable here.

What you're saying is: Don't Speak?
Im saying look at next week, not predicting where we will be in October based on 80 minutes of football against 1 team!

3 weeks ago we were Top 4, 1 week ago we were Spooners, now were back to Top 8.. are we predicting a Parra vs Dragons Grandfinal based on Round 1 form?

Fair enough, but only if the posts dont go back to doom & gloom when we lose a game or 2.

I must be weird but its the "deathriding keyboard warriors" that make this forum all the more entertaining to read and participate in - for me anyway....

It'd be quite boring if we all towed the same line, e.g. go the saints rah-rah-rah, well played boys, bad luck this week, good onya Pricey, etc.

And having no idea what is going on is pretty much irrelevant - it is in someways an advantage to be on the outside looking in, making comment with no fear of losing status or friends having said things I and many others are all thinking anyway..
