- The defence. Particularly midway through the first half. Set after set on our own line and turned them away every time. Then marched up field and scored another one

- Speaking of; Iro was monstrous in defence. Keep it up, son

- The halves pairing. They seem to have finally worked it out. Tricky's the man. Nicho, pick your moments. Hopefully we see that consistently

- Brailey continuing to run

- Ramien in beast mode

- More ball movement, particularly early on. Keep it up

Agree with Nicho's game. I was pretty impressed that he sat back a bit and let Trindall play his game, only coming in when it was called for. I like him running the ball more too.

Ramien was a beast. I can't remember the GC's player, but he killed him on that run early in the second half!

JC opening stint in defence was massive, got through a lot of defence with zero misses.

Ramien has given up on the cross field dancing and trying to throw players off and just tried to run through everyone.

Burns was massive, running some unconventional lines, wrapped up the ball carrier and held them up and drove them back.

Stoney looked better for the run and held his own.

Katoa was outstanding nearly a 10/10

Iros defence was the best iv seen.

AFB & Hazelton everything asked and expected from them.

Spine enough said by everyone else

Burns will feature in SOO conversations - a workhorse with ballskills.

I have been banging on for 2 or 3 years about the numbers on the backs of the 6 and 7.
The 6 is a 7 but the 7 wont wear the 6.
I loaded a highlights reel in here last year of tricky playing 7 before hynes arrived and it showcased his running game.

It hasnt been seen for the last 3 or 4 years but is back.

Hynes has obviously relented and given him the keys.

But he wont give him the jumper.

I like Teig, and I want him in my side.
But Billy just has that something a little different to what Teig and Brit have, and I like that.
Yeah I don't think Teig is a bad player or anything but Burns just has that aggression as well. I really hope we keep him here for next year and beyond

Nicho was very good.

Best game I've seen him play in a long time.

He's put it out there he will run tougher and he did and he scored 2 tries.

Seems they've worked out - who is best at what.

Strap in.

Just heard/saw this from yesterday. Scroll until about the 3.25 min mark, so at least their dribble is shortened a little bit.
Nicho basically says what is going on now in the play making sense during the "interview".
If you want to call it that.

Took a while but we have finally arrived at everyone's strengths.
Trickys a halfback.
Nichos a runner - and maybe he has more to his game which he will now discover with a weight off his shoulders.
Tricky has the keys.

We needed to sort that pair out and we needed something to take us to the next level.

This is both.

Strap in.
