..........that quite possibly shouldn't.

Today in the lift I saw a "news" item

It said the Victorian Government was going to spend money advertising the dangers of the drug ice to try and cut it's useage.

This is because the number of young people dying from ice has increased dramatically over recent months.

Now call me daft, but surely large numbers of people dying from taking the drug ice will aid quite brilliantly in reducing it's useage. Money down the drain imo.

gonna have to call you daft. people die from speeding every year but it doesnt stop people speeding.

2 main reasons:

1) they dont think it'll ever happen to them

2) they dont care

Well as we're talking about elevator stories... I read one once that said a man in I think Sweden was admitted to hospital after a St. Bernard dog jumped out the window of a 2nd story apartment and landed on his head!

We are about to be flooded with a Govt funded marketing campaign explaining the issues with Ice, was announced recently.

And it is an unemployment solution. Win/Win. That it amuses you is just a bonus.

Nothing funnier than watching people on ice looking like zombies falling down stairs & off train platforms.

Agreed! Sometimes that's what it takes for these idiots to wake up to themselves and realise how dangerous that shit is!

People falling over, especially kids that haven't learnt how to fall correctly yet so they hit the ground all spead out with a hilarious SLAP, followed by a few seconds of silent shock, then finally the "I'm embarrassed" sobbing cry.

Mind you, if an adult manages to fall awkwardly enough to get that big spread eagled SLAP going then nothing tops it.

As an example, my dad ate shit a few years back in an RSL. Was carrying a tray of food from the bistro to our table while I was buying the drinks, turned right at the end of a row of plants - not seeing there was an empty planter box at the end of the row - and went completely horizontal. Best part was he instinctively tried to save the food so his arms stayed parallel to the ground and he landed square on his stomach . He ended up with a significant cut on his leg from where he hit the planter box, and I ended up having to hide around the corner because I couldn't stop laughing :lol:

He took umbrage to my chuckles, to which I informed him that the moment people stop laughing when you fall down is the moment you officially become old. Shut him up quick smart

Gee's the sight of blood makes it not something I'd find funny at all. If he wasn't bleeding it would've been a different story, but considering it was as you said a significant cut... not something I'd laugh at personally. Also being a registered First Aid officer, I'd probably be one of the first people there to help them out.

Shins bleed like buggery whenever they get even small nicks so it wasn't a big deal. Nothing a few butterfly bandaids didn't fix.

Still chuckling to myself now thinking about it

People falling over or walking into things I usually laugh at quite a bit. The more random shit that goes flying through the air the funnier it is.
