Im stuck in the London for the next few months.
Whats been happening in Oz Swell wise :?: due to the time differences/ daylight savings, I havent even been able to check out the web cam's.

The August westerlys have been blowing for weeks longer than they normally do, and for the majority of the past 2months, the surf has been sh!thouse, except for a freaky 5metre+ s/e swell that came and went within 3 days!

For the 1st time in over a week there is a small south swell, but its pretty ordinary, around the 2-3 foot mark! .....but hey its better than nothing............last week the weather was hitting 30 degree's, but the swell was smaller than a bee's diick! It was torture.....

You're not missing much agro ......for an aus winter the swell hasnt been consistent at all .....there's been a few epic days, but way to much time in between each new swell! .......

Im just looking forward to november, when my fav n/e swells will hopefully start to mark a regular appearance ......

Im back mid Dec so those N/E swells sound good to me. Alley, Island Lefts and Shoes. Ill be happy with fkn Shelley at the moment, Im that keen for a wave.

Broke my shin out at Tretch about 7 years ago. Dont know what I was thinking even being out there in the first place. Its one of those places that the older you get the shitter it gets.

Thongs did go alright on its day though.

:lol: yaaa ...trech does get shitter as you get older i'll admit, i've only surfed it about twice this year and that was back in feb when the n/e were still blowing! It was shit as! ...it doesnt seem as hollow as it used to be, or maybe its just me.......but i reckon its the lack of crowds that has me always going back to check it on the good days......

talking about busted shins ......i didnt break mine, but i busted the fug out of it at thongs about 5 years ago .......I got washed up and tore all the skin back down to the bone! Hair doesnt even really grow there anymore.....ah well .......back when i was young and at school there was nothing cooler than showing off your "surf injuries" to the chickies

Hows Rip bowl been going ? Ive been OS for 2 years and before I left it had been shit for a few years? (I think it was due to the blocking of the big storm water drain).

Nah ...its still pretty sh!t man! I think its marginally better than what it has been the last couple of years though! On the right swell it can still get pretty tidy........but its still no where near as good as it was back in mid late 90's!

Its still a touch further north than it used to be back in its hay day! .............I used to love it when it was right in the southern pocket.........even the crappiest piece of whitewash could turn into one of the waves of the day .........i miss it badly man, your bringing back memories .......i stopped surfing as much when that bank dissapeared....

There's still a couple of good banks down near hills .....but all in all our banks have been shitehouse lately ....so your not missing much

I've got so many good memories of that bowl, shame its not there anymore because it was a bloody good little wave for the groms to develop there skills.

Anyone got an opinion on who will get this years world title?
My moneys on Slater, that guys an absolute freak. I was just reading that before his heat in France he was riding a brand new board and hadnt had a surf 3 weeks, and he still goes out and kills it. Total natural ..... If he's not the best surfer of all time, than spank my ass and call me charlie.

Andy Irons win's at Hossegor. Beat Phill Macdonald in the final. Great effort by Phil to get there, he knocked a red hot Slater out in his semi.
Next event is looking at starting at Mundaka tommorow, Those poor bastards have got a tough life.
